No internet connectivity after update

Last night my Xbox one installed a large (~6GB) update to Rocket League. Now today they console is no longer connected to our wireless home network. When I try to set up the network connection again, the device does not find any wireless networks, even
though other devices in our home (e.g. cell phone, ipad) can see 3 or 4, including neighbors. Even if I manually type in the SSID it does not connect. I have tried the suggestion of turning off our wireless router for 30 seconds but that does nothing. And
I don't have a cable to wire the Xbox directly to our router. We've only had the Xbox for 6 weeks. What should I do?

Beta Ring member having all kinds of issues.

So my xbox had any update several hours ago and now....no internet connectivity, xbox freezes for 30 seconds after every input on-screen, and Windows overlap so you can't see what your selecting. Any thoughts or help? And I'm in the Beta Ring of Insider.

I have the same issue lately. Hold down the power button on the Xbox until it shuts down. You should be able to see networks when it comes back up. I am annoyed that they haven't fixed this. It seems like a problem with instant on so I shut it off and switched
it to power saving mode. Hopefully it fixes the problem but would love if Microsoft actually fixes it.

Its the large updates it downloads during the install. Put the xbox into offline mode or disconnect the connection to the internet and then install from disc. After the install, you can connect to the internet and it will download the updates.
