No input from mic when turning on while in a dc call or party

Same problem as everyone has mentioned. Mic shows I'm connected. I can hear others through it. If I turn volume up, it beeps. Mute light turns on. No one can hear me. Not in game chat while not being in a party. Not in party chat while ensuring I'm in party
chat not game chat. Mic logo comes up that shows my mic is plugged in. My NAT is open. This is getting to be absolutely ridiculous.

I'm having the same issue with my quadcast mic. Works on everything. I can use in game chat with games like sea of thieves but not xbox party chat. I have my input selected correctly and I can see my voice being picked up in the audio settings for the game bar app but the circle around my Xbox user portrait is not lighting up when I push to talk. Also not getting anything when I turn push to talk off.

However it does work when I plug in my headset microphone. Even with my quadcast mic set as default input device.

The Warhead base unit syncs wirelessly with the 360 console for its mic. It is the only third party headset solution that does. The cabled inputs are only for audio output from the 360 itself.

Absolutely no other third party headset made today for the 360 has a wireless mic. All other solutions have to plug into the 360 controller.

The Xbox One does not support the wireless protocol used between the Warhead base unit and the 360 console. The Warhead has no cable port to connect to a 360 controller. The Warhead's mic will do nothing when the headset is used with the Xbox One.

What I also find interesting is that when I turn the controller off, and remain in the party, the light next to my name will activate when I speak into the mic while the controller is off.

I have also had success using the mic when I run an app - such as TV, but then the mic will stop working upon loading a game - such as Grand Theft Auto V.

I am convinced this is a software issue, especially because people above have purchased new headsets without successfully resolving the problem.

is it your mic that is too loud or is it other people you are in a party with?

to adjust the sensitivity of the mic, press the Xbox button on the controller then press RB 3 times to get to the System tab and select Audio from the options there.

this will allow you to turn down mic monitoring so your mic is less sensitive.

if it is other people in your party who have their mics too sensitive then they will have to adjust the mic monitoring on their Xbox
