No ingame sound after Quick Resume

I noticed my sound started cutting out, for no rhyme or reason, right after the August Update. What I've found is that this occurs right after I quit to dashboard (then there's no sound in the dashboard/store/videos), or there's no sound in a game, whether it's right after booting up or from quick resume. As I mentioned, there's no rhyme or reason.

I thought quick resume had something to do with it...seeing as before I tried everything I mention below, the sound would almost always cut out after starting a game from Quick Resume...but after tweaking and trying all combinations within the settings...I couldn't find a rhyme or reason.

I've tried fully cycling the consoles power, enabling disabling remote features and standby. Switching the TV's game mode from Auto to On. Enabling/Disabling HDMI-CEC settings. Factory Resetting both the console and TV. Both with and without keeping games, apps & settings.

Nothing works. Just yesterday, I did the full factory reset and power cycling of both my TV and Xbox. After the initial setup (keeping all defaults), I decided to cut the lawn while I downloaded a few games. I came back in, played for a while, saved my game, closed to dashboard, closed the quick resume and did a full shutdown. The sound was just working. After Diner? Nope, no sound in the dashboard or store.

Please Microsoft, FIX THIS!!!!

Games that support quick resume automatically add when you start them. There’s no way to disable quick resume

I just delete it after I manually quit the game every time.

Latest update is installed.

The quick resume menu seems to have disappeared so I don't think I can remove them from quick resume.

I went out for an hour earlier. Turned the console back on and sound was fine, but as soon as I moved from one game to another it stopped the sound again.

This is seriously annoying and almost makes the console unusable. If I plug headphones into my controller I can hear the sound but there's nothing coming from the television. This bug needs to be sorted

If you delete games from your quick resume list they reappear so it doesn't stop thr problems. I want to be able to shut it off completely.

disabling quick resume is currently being explored, but may not be possible as it is tied into every system on the Xbox, there is no news on a timetable, and if and when it happens, it will be announced via Xbox social media likely in conjunction with a major OS update
