No in game audio but the dashboard has sound.

dashboard sounds work but ingame menus and audio do not.

I picked up a COD edition Xbox one on Nov. 6 been playing with no real problems now on Nov. 23 in the middle of a game the audio goes out so, I backed out to the xbox dashboard sound works there start up COD again the opening sledgehammer logo and Cod has
sound but ingame menu has nothing tried another game Dragon Age same problem.

I have turned off the Xbox and on several times, checked all the cables still nothing.

I set the xbox to energy saver instead of instant on and let it sit long for a while that seemed to fix it.

Xbox Stereo Head-set and Adapter, can hear game audio fully and clearly, Chat audio is not working

Same issue here, turtle beach earforce z11. Game audio is fine for battlefield 4, and geometry wars, but no audio for pinball arcade or xbox dashboard sounds. No chat audio comes through the headset, but party and game chat members can both hear my mic.
Just wasted $30 on a new adapter and its definitely not that.

Xbox 360 Slim No Audio on DVD's

My Xbox 360 Silm is plugged into my TV through an HDMI cable. On the dashboard and playing games the audio works fine, but once I try to play a movie on a dvd the sound does not play. The video shows up but no audio. Is there a solution to this?

Head to your console audio settings and check its not set to 5.1/7.1 or something else you don't have the hardware to support.

I am having this same problem. The dashboard and other games all have sound, but gotham knights has no in-game audio whatsoever. I just paid for the digital deluxe version and the game has no sound. No, I have not tried another HDMI cable as audio works from the rest of the system, just this game is broken.

Try "sound/audio"set ups through the dashboard or options within the game. That may effect it, not sure.

Hello Thomas, have you tried any procedures in the console like clearing the cache or removing games that are in quick resume?

If you don't, also try resetting your console by keeping games and Apps.

Press the Xbox button to open the panel.

Select system > system > console > system

Select Reset console.

Restore and maintain my games and apps.
