I was playing a game (Borderlands) and the screen went weird, there were loads of green lines and pixels everywhere. I turned the console off to turn it back on again and hope the problem rest but now nothing appears (No sound or images) and my HDMI T.V.
option says theres no signal. I have tried removing all the wires and cleaning the ends and also tried my second HDMI port but there is still no Image of Sound.

    thank you for your help.

    :)

playing blurays and DVDs on xbox one - I get sound but no video

I have installed and re-installed the blu-ray app, but whenever I try to play a bluray or DVD disc I get the sound but no video

I can see the pop-up menu and the other controls but no image from the film. I can view the chapter images (via the pop-up menu not from the disc menus), but press play and the sound comes on, but no image

I am in the UK and using the correct region discs

    No video at all

I setup Live TV and get the message to wait 12 seconds but my screen stays black.

It says that my satellite is detected.

Press and hold your finger to the power button until the console turns off then unplug it from the outlet for 30 sec then plug it back in and power back on. Hopefully it will start booting up normally

  5. I have unplugged everything and replugged everything but I'm still not getting any signal or sound. The Xbox360 fan turns on and the on button lights up but my tv says there is no signal and there is no sound.

(I think my Xbox is the original white one).

    Sound and image dropping out

    Hi there Forever Knight,

Thanks for reaching out. I recommend to try the following article:
Troubleshooting 4K and HDR on Xbox One X and Xbox One S.

The Xbox One X console system includes one HDMI cable. You can use this cable to connect the console to an HDMI-compatible TV or HDTV. Here's how:

    1. Connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port on your console (the leftmost HDMI port on the back of your console).
    2. Connect the other end of the cable to the HDMI input on your TV.

    • Video output for the Xbox One X console is HDMI only. If you’re also connecting your console to a sound system, see

Connect your Xbox One console to a sound system
. You’ll also need to ensure that the device has an HDMI 2.0 input and is rated for 4K passthrough.
    • If the included HDMI cable isn’t long enough, we recommend finding a n “HDMI Premium Certified Cable” of the appropriate length. If you need a cable that’s 50 feet or longer, you may want an “Active High-Speed HDMI Cable”.
    • As a best practice, make sure all the cables on the back of your console are gathered away from and are not touching the console. If you must run the cables to the side, avoid running cables by the back-left side of the console by placing
the console vertically on the stand. This helps avoid wireless interference that can affect the console’s ability to reliably connect to Wi-Fi or decrease your wireless controller’s range.

    Hope this helps.

Bad image and no sound. Please help!!

Hi there! This is Ronnie, an independent advisor.

Nice to meet you and I hope you are having a great day!

I understand you need help with your video problem.

Please try some steps on this link:

    https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-ne...

If it does not help, I suggest changing HDMI ports to check if that is the issue.

You can also try this reset option:

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    2. Select Settings.

    3. Select System.

    4. Select Console info

    5. Select Reset console.

    6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

Xbox one x not displaying image or sound

Hi! My name is Pam. I'm an Independent Advisor and I'll be glad to help you today.

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in. Press and hold the SYNC button and the EJECT button, and then press the Xbox button on the console. Continue holding the SYNC and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the SYNC and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

Once you see it, please select reset then keep games and apps. In case the issue still persist and you've tried different HDMI and TV, I'm afraid the console needs a service already.

I hope this helps. Feel free to ask back any questions and keep me posted.
