No headset will connect to the xbox

Hard one to explain but on my xbox series x i have the normal pad it came with and also a headset ive used since i got it last year . For some reason today i plugged the headset in and it was saying no device detected. I tried it on my old xbox one pad which can be used on the new console and same thing. I also tried a different headset on both pads and still didnt work. Restarted multiple times and also reset the xboz. Ive noticed when the headset jack isnt in the controller for some reason the xbox is saying their is one plugged in? Then when you put the heqdset into the pad it says their isnt one in then you take it out and it goes back to saying headset plugged in.

    Baffled

    Any help?

    :)

anyone help me my wireless headset is stuck on port 2 and wont sync to port 1

Turn off and disconnect all controllers from the Xbox 360 and disconnect the wireless headsets from the controllers.

Connect the wireless headset to the Xbox 360 using the USB cable. Turn on the wireless headset.

Sync the headset to quadrant 1 by pressing the "Connect" button on the on the Xbox 360. Then press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset for two seconds. Do not continue to press the "Connect" button on the wireless headset, as this will change the
quadrant to which it is connected. If the headset now works without the controllers attached, the problem must be with one of your controllers. If the headset still does not work, then the problem is with the headset.

    Keyscaper bluetooth gaming headset

If the headset is only a Bluetooth headset, then it cannot be connected to the Xbox, as the console does not support Bluetooth. However, you can connect a wired headset to the controller via 3.5 mm audio jack. If the headset can be connected that way, then you will have to connect via the wire.

my control's headphones input is failing

The Xbox One does not support USB headset, the console only supports wired connection to the controller via the 3.5 mm jack or with the Xbox One headset adapter. which connects to the bottom of the controller, or you can use a wireless headset which connects
straight to the Xbox One wireless connection. Your best bet would be to purchase the Xbox One headset adapter.
