    No HDR output issue, help!

Hi all, just got the family a One S for Christmas and I'm having a problem with HDR output. The TV is a Samsung UN65KS8500. Xbox is directly connected to theTV with supplied HDMI cable into HDMI 1 with HDR turned on in TV settings and "allow HDR" checked
in Xbox settings. When I check the details in the Xbox settings it still says no HDR output for movies and games. How can I fix this? Any help is appreciated, thanks!

    :)

No 4K without HDR (xbox one x)

you need hdr for 4k output

I don't think you fully understand

Uhd and hdr are required for 4k output

Unless you have an xbox one s not a x

    You can't play in 4k

4k is only for.movies or streaming sources which require both uhd and hdr

    But.xbox.one x will do 4k gaming

Xbox One X HDR in 1080p

Thanks, I hope that is the case. The S will not allow HDR unless output is set to 4K. Not to tout the PS4 Pro but it told me my projector would not support HDR in 4K but offered up "2k HDR" as an option. I would hope the X was as elegant.

    No HDR output issue, help!

For anyone else having this issue, I got it to work. The "UHD Color" setting was not turned on.

Hdr not working on monitor with Xbox series x

HDR10 is a spec of HDR

HDR 600 refers to the max brightness measured in nits

Xbox only supports HDR on 4K output.

My Xbox game clips are lagging

On my Xbox Series S i've noticed that setting the output to 1080p and also recording in 1080p seems to solve the issue... but this also means I cannot output HDR. It might be a conversion issue. Just got my Series X (that I ordered in March), but have not had time to see if there are any issues yet. I will definitely not run it at 1080p SDR just to get clips. Will try recording both in 4K HDR and 1080p SDR to see if there's any problem.
