NO HDMI SOUND WITH ALPHA UPDATE!!!!!

Hey Alpha! This sounds like an issue with your HDMI cable actually. There is something called HDCP on HDMI cables, which is essentially DRM between the DVD and your TV, but not all TV's support it, and it sounds like your TV is one of them. Do you have another
HDMI cable you can try? Let us know, cheers!

I joined the inside program, then I change the system update to alpha cycle. this version has fixed FFXV sound issue.

Found this:

1. Update firmwares for TV, XB1S & Sound bar.
   
2. XB1S HDMI OUT (to TV) goes to Sound bar HDMI IN. (DOES NOT GO TO TV)
   
3. Sound bar HDMI ARC OUT goes to TV HDMI ARC.
   
4. TV AUDIO set to PCM. TV VIDEO set to ARC.
   
5. Sound bar audio set to HDMI IN. (NOT HDMI ARC)
   
6. XB1S Video set to 4K UHD.
   
7. XB1S Audio set to ATMOS.
   

*Most importantly, XB1S HDMI OUT (to TV) DOES NOT GO TO TV, BUT GOES TO Sound bar IN! XB1S HDMI IN Should NOT BE USED!

Are you on the insiders program because that sounds famikiar to a bug I have but is because I am on the alpha ring of the xbox so by the time it gets a main strem update it should be fixed...

You sound like you may have a different problem that the one added by the update. Because for the normal black screen bug the sound still works.

Have you tried a different HDMI cable?

Have you tried plugging into a different HDMI socket?

It sounds like there is no picture or sound being received by your tv which means either your TV, HDMI cable or console is faulty.

If you have any other HDMI devices then try plugging them into the tv to rule out a faulty tv
