No Video, please help!

On my tv, it doesn't have hdmi port so I use the hdmi port

on the back of my DVR then hook that up to the Xbox port. I've tried either

port & no luck.

Hey mate,

There are a number of different converters you could use, however you will lose a lot of image quality when you use them, to the point where you might not even be able to read the text on the screen.

Some of the converters are actually the same price as a cheap tv, so you're probably better off doing that But that's just my 2cents

If the Xbox is working with the same HDMI cable on a different TV, then that would lead me to believe the HDMI port on the TV in question is bad. I had a bad HDMI port on my TV as well that just went out one day. If it works on another TV with the same
HDMI cable then I would say the Port on the TV has quit working.

If you want to use your xbox to control your tv, then you want to plug your cable box or satellite into the hdmi in port on the xbox one. then you connect the hdmi out port of the xbox one to the hdmi in port on your tv(however to watch tv your xbox one
has to be on for the signal to pass through). I personally do not use the tv function of my xbox one,because I don't want to have to have my xbox on to watch tv. I have my cable box plugged into the hdmi in port of my tv, and my xbox one plugged into another
hdmi in port. Then when I want to play I just switch the input on my tv.

Hi buddy..

This happen to my XBox 360 S too.

Check the TV HDMI ports. One of the port maybe no good.

Maybe try another TV in another room just to see if its the HDMI ports.

Make sure the HDMI port are on in the TV menu (sometimes its set off)

How the Xbox One works with being able to control the TV is that the Xbox One has a HDMI In port and a HDMI Out port. If a person had a cable set-top box, they would take the HDMI cable from that and plug it into the HDMI In port on the Xbox One, and then
connect an HDMI cable to the HDMI Out port and connect that to the TV.

In your case, I think it could only work if your TV had both a HDMI Out port and a HDMI In port. If this is the case, which I don't ever think I've heard of a thing for just a TV (I guess it could be possible), then you would go from the TV's HDMI Out port
to the Xbox One's HDMI In port and from the Xbox One's HDMI Out port to the TV's HDMI In port.

have your tv more than one HDMI port? Maybe you can check the other one. on my lg tv i must Change the HDMI port Settings. i must allow hdr on HDMI port.
