No HD Output Xbox One

So this is my first post and there is a little bit of a story behind this so bare with me.

My xbx1 started having issues about a month ago where it would not longer output 1080p or 720p to my TV (LG 47LE5400) which is about 5-6 years old. I did all the troubleshooting I knew to do:

-Swapped cables 3x

-Swapped different inputs, I have a Roku and a DVR that both work fine on this TV. Hooked xbx1 up to the inputs those were using and same issue

-Factory reset xbx1

-Resolution reset - does work but who wants to play at 480?

-Tried offline update tool

-Called support and put in repair ticket, got my xbx1 back with letter that no issues found see video links below of the first xbx1 issues





After another call to support they said they would send another xbx1 unit. Received the replacement unit yesterday and same problem. I'm at my wits end with this issue. Could this be some sort of HDCP or Handoff issue that is now occurring with the latest
xbx1 firmware?

Any help or insight is appreciated.

Video and Audio Delay HELP!

Sky HD box to Xbox One input, xbox output to tv. no splitters. I have no external sound system so delay is on hdmi audio. Sky HD direct to TV has no audio/video sync issues, audio delay is only present with Xbox one in the circuit.

 

HDMI output resolution question

That seems odd. My TiVo Roamio outputs in 1080i and it doesn't cause my Xbox One to change its output to 720p. What make and
model of TV are you using with the Xbox One?

 

Presuming the replacement box and your first one had both the same software version installed the problem seems software based. Like your TV is now too old for an up-to-date XB1. You haven't tested it on another TV, have you?

P.S. You didn't mention it, but have you tried switching to a different resolution and if so, what happens?

 

Thank you for the reply! I did try the resolution reset (eject and power button method) to get the very low res and it does show up on my tv. I have tested the xbx1 on a tv at my job and it works fine at 1080p resolution. If it truly is a software issue,
keep in mind i've done no software updates on my tv since purchased and have checked for a new firmware for it an there isn't one., should MS provide some sort of information with their console now that stipulates that it may not work on all tv's?

Sorry to hear you're still having trouble with your console. To double check, are you plugging your console directly into your TV or is there a device in between the two? If other televisions work it sounds like it may be an issue with your current TV unfortunately.

Finally got this fixed about a week later and totally spaced on posting the resolution here. So my LG TV was ultimately the issue. Even though it would display from other sources in the same input fine just not the xbox one. The solder joints on the TV's
mainboard were bad.. apparently a known issue with some of these LG TV's and this method on youtube worked ... not suggesting ppl bake their mainboards but I had nothing to lose because if it didn't work I'd have
to replace the tv anyways.
