    No Gigabit?

So I just got a new ISP - ATT with Gigapower.

i am only getting about 350 MBps download and 85 MBps upload from the console. I get about 935 MBps down and 911 MBps up when doing a speed test from my computer. That is a HUGE difference. Both PC and XBox One are hard wired to my fiber modem by CAT6 cable.
What gives with the massive difference in speed? Isn't the Xbox specs call for gigabit?

This is is a significant improvement from the Time Warner. However, it's confusing why download speeds are so slow when the link lights clearly indicate gigabit full duplex. Any ideas?

it is a lot like this thread:

  2. Multiplayer Achievements - No No No!!!

I loved BFBC2's and Halo 3's online achievements I had a lot of fun playing those because it makes you try a variety of different things that I wouldn't have usually done. What I hate are games that should be purely SP, but tack on a bad online mode and
add achievements to get people to try and play.

The irony is that no one really cares what other achievements another person unlocks. No one will ever loose sleep because you got an achievement they didn't, and likewise I'm sure whom ever is reading this could care less what other ppl have unlocked.

Yes, it's fun to compare. But ultimately it's for personal pleasure. No one will care that you spent hours boosting a match. It is all just for personal entertainment.

I love collecting those tiles in my collection for 100%. But if you have to go way out of your way for MP achievements, is it worth your time getting 70GS to complete your game, when you could have played 3 other games you have been interested in a long
    time?

    No Gigabit?

    Hey DietCoke201,

Every device will communicate differently with the network, so it may not be the same for every device. With that said, you're seeing really nice speeds, still. Are you seeing issues with these stats or with gameplay in general on your Xbox One?

XBox One Not Connecting at Gigabit only at 10/100

Comcast Xfinity don't offer Gigabit connections (150mbps is their current fastest) so the benefit of connecting by Gigabit to your router is mute because it can't use the gigabit speeds once it leaves your modem.

Gigabit is good for throwing files around your internal network or if you get the Google Fiber link.

The Xbox One will vary its speed based on what it is doing at the time. In "sleep" it will drop to 10, when it powers on it will go up to 100 and during downloads should go up to 1000. Try downloading a game/DLC etc and see if your router light changes colour
    to confirm the gigabit connection.

Xbox App Stream from Xbox One issues

    Xbox1 streaming - works sometimes.

    My set up-

I have 4 xbox1's all connected via ethernet wire (cat 5e or >)

(2 xbox1's) are connected via netgear gigabit switch

(2 xbox1's) go directly to gigabit router.

2 computers also connected via gigabit switch.

both computers have gigabit network cards.

    Problem:

Has been working great up until about one week ago. Now randomly getting network connection problems. I was running at medium quality, and then set to low quality but still no difference.

Ran stream test from windows 10 xbox1 app and got 4 green check marks.

Tried restarting all units connected, changed out patch cables to cat 6, changed old gigabit switch to new netgear gigabit switch to match gigabit router.

Frustrating how it works then it does not... Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Xbox series x being throttled by Microsoft

OK, whether you habe gigabit ethernet ports , or pay for gigabit internet service does not matter as to the bandwidth you are allocated. As stated no one gets gigabit speeds from Microsoft, and downloads are capped around 200 at the best of times

Bandwidth is allocated based on need and server loads

As my update is currently also running at 20, looks like they're throttling everyone
