No Game Audio through Headset/Earphones After Controller Update

Also it didn't work for another controller, and that one was outdated so I'll do it to that one also.

I'll try it. I updated my controller once I finished setting up my console on the second of this month. If it doesn't work I guess I'll use them for chat only. Thanks!

Did you have the headset connected to the controller during the update? If not, connect and update again.

Have you tried the headset with any other devices (laptop) to make sure it still works elsewhere?

Do you have another controller that you could try to see if the headset works with?

Have you tried replacing the batteries or recharging them if they are rechargeable?

Make sure that under settings, that the audio settings have not been adjusted accidentally.

Just trying to throw out as many suggestions that I can think of. Hope one brings a resolution to your issue.

Forgot all about this post. Sadly, it's telling me that my controller is up to date. I might have to purchase the Headset Adapter. Thanks for the help.

Try opening your Xbox menu by pressing the home button on your controller, then clicking "audio". There should be a volume bar for game vs voice chat below the regular audio bar. Moving this bar to the right makes the game louder and voice chat quieter,
moving it to the left makes voice chat louder and the game quieter. Hope this helps!
