There is no need for bad language.

You have no friends showing on your friends list.

Have you tried re-downloading your profile?

Hi Shane! Can you press Menu and go to Settings->Network and tell us what your NAT status is? The Xbox One has several ports that need to be forwarded for the network communication to work properly (which, if your NAT is Strict or Moderate, can affect things
    like friends/activity feed/mutliplayer gaming/store/etc.)

Hmm... this IS a puzzle, I'm not sure what's going on in that case. Are you in the Preview Program, by any chance?

Actually the preview program lets users get advance downloads of the system updates, for the purposes of testing them out and working out any problems before they're released - it's a nice thing to be part of! It sounds as though you're not in that, so your
problem wouldn't be preview related. I'm now beginning to wonder if your Privacy Settings have been set so that your communication is being blocked. Things like Friends Lists and party communication can definitely be affected by strict privacy settings.

To check your privacy settings, press Menu and go to Settings -> Privacy & Online Safety, then follow the steps at the following link:

    support.xbox.com/.../xbox-one-manage-privacy-and-online-safety

Also, if you are using an account which was created when you were underage, it's likely that whoever created the account for you (parent or guardian) would need to log in to account.live.com to change your settings, and to give you rights to manage those
    settings yourself.

This might not be the root of your issue, but it sounds to me like it could be!

Crud... I was hoping that was it. I'm going to have to hope someone else will jump in here, because I'm out of ideas....

One other question, although this probably isn't sensible since you have an Open NAT - do you have more than one console or device plugged into your router? Usually when that is the case, you have to turn on something called UPnP (Universal Plug and Play)
on your Router, which allows multiple devices to use the same ports for communication. That's really my last possibility that I can think of....

In that case, you might want to try logging into your router and making sure UPnP is turned on, because I'm not positive if you could still run into problems with multiple systems on one router, even if you only use one at a time.

If you need to know how to log into your router, portforward.com has a great resource with basically EVERY brand and model of networking device.

No, 100% unequivocally not. The thing with Lizard Squad is, they're notorious trolls living in their grandmothers' basements who have some technical knowledge and use it to perform DDoS attacks on online systems.. PS4 has been proven more vulnerable than
Live. Virgin Squad... sorry, I mean Lizard Squad... recently claimed to have knocked Live offline briefly, but at that time most of my friends were online with no interruption, including myself, so I tend to doubt their claims.

Here's the thing - as far as I understand, in a DDoS attack, a network target is flooded with network traffic through all ports so that the network device sees it as an intrusion attempt and basically shuts down the network. To do this, the attacker(s) need
to know the IP Address of the target they want to attack, which is why this is most common on PC multiplayer gaming - on most PC games, it's very easy to see the IP address of the opponents who are currently connected to the match. So, a person gets ticked
off at someone, determines their IP, then floods them and shuts down their network.

On CONSOLES however, all players are connecting to a SERVICE which handles all of the traffic to and from your console - Live, or PSNetwork. Again, as far as I know, a gamer can't see the IPs of the other players because the players aren't connected to each
other, they're connected to a central service which is a go-between for all users.

So, when an attacker wants to knock a Console player offline, all an attacker can do is flood the SERVICE, not the individual players - and to knock the service offline, they'd have to somehow know the IP of the servers on which the company's multiplayer
service is hosted. When this attack happens, the services would go offline, so your console wouldn't be connected anymore, but your other network traffic is still working, because it wasn't your personal network being attacked.

Long story short, if my understanding is correct, your console couldn't be affected by any LS attacks, because they're attacking the gaming network, not your personal devices (unlike PC.) The only way for a hacker to see the IP addresses connected to the
service and so to attack the consoles themselves would be to have some sort of virus on the servers in Redmond, so... no. No friends showing :)
