No friend notification , April update

It's not necessarily how big they are that irks me; it's how long they stay on the screen.

It was working for a while but then I don't see notifications that often anymore.

They work for me. I have it set to favourites only and they work every time.

The SmartGlass beta doesn't display notifications when favourite friends come online though, even though I have it set to do so. I get notifications in it when someone sends me a message, so the notifications are working - just not for friends coming online.
It is a beta though, so maybe that's not working properly right now.

Smartglass doesn't display notifications when friends come on. I can still use it to see who is online before I even come in the house. I also use it to set up play sessions on the go too.

Interesting. Hopefully I can disable it on there too as notifications are pointless when it works that fast for me.

@GG - That too as I noticed it more today after reading this thread, the damn thing just hovered there which seemed like an age before it went away. Surely 2 or 3 seconds would be enough.

Yeah the length of how long they are there for could use a nerf. I think they should add some options to customize them as a user sees fit. The transition, length and size.

So I could select:

Fade in, 2 seconds, medium size.

Rather than:

Open width, 5 seconds, large size.

If any of that makes sense ^ lol. Ahh GG I thought I had seen it around these parts somewhere. It was a fantastic idea and one I think a lot of people would love.

Blue, that's a good idea too buddy! I think if they used those two concepts as a base, they could really build something pretty good with the friends list. Really make it deeply customizable. "Xbox, only show me 'this group' if they log online" ect...

It really would be epic

The favourites online notifications have started working in the Smartglass beta now. Maybe there was an issue server-side, or that functionality has only just been enabled.

Is there the option to remove followers without blocking them, it would be handy if it's not there, I was playing BF a while back and this player just kept t-bagging and being a tool in general, I left the game when it finished and the next day I had a new
follower, guess who, but I would have preferred just to remove, I didn't think it deserved a block.

it auto sets it to favorites...go to "settings", "preferences", all the way down left hand side to "sign-in & broadcast" and change it to "all friends" OR leave it set to favorites and just favorite a few friends you want to know when they're online.
