    I'm running a scorpio on an asus vp28uqg but freesync is outgreyed, why? Tried both ports. Read a quintillion articles before order and this was supposed to be the right monitor to support freesync over hdmi.

    FreeSync on an older Xbox One (not X or S)?

    Well I have an Xbox one X with the Spring Update plus an Asus VP28UQG 4k freesync-capable monitor, and it ain't working on my set-up.

    Freesync and freesync 2 spring update

    so i just got my spring update. I bought a asus vp28uqg 4k gaming screen with freesync just because i wantet to play my games with freesync.

    How come i cant turn my freesync on now that the one x suports freesync? I think i have freesync 1 and i toght that microsoft where suporting both freesync 1 and 2.

    If it is how do i turn it on?

    just got off from an hours chat with Microsoft support about this exact issue - there’s a firmware update needed!

    In europe the support doesnt even know about freesync i made two phone calls and nothing helpt. so lets hope for a update soon. asus VP28Uqg

    Concerning same issue on pc asus says: "RD said it’s normal behavior of HDMI signal, the monitor will judge the signal input and automatically activate FreeSync in HDMI.

    Only DP signal need to adjust the FreeSync ON/OFF function."

    to be honest, I can't tell whether free-sync is on or not...

    Yes, all Xbox One models will be getting Freesync support. At the time of this posting, Freesync is available in ALL preview rings right now, so if you're in the Insider Program and you have a Freesync-supported display, this should be worth checking out
    and testing.

    One thing to note is there is a slight difference with the Freesync support on the different console models though:

    • The Xbox One S/X will get Freesync 2 support (with HDR).
    • The original Xbox One will get Freesync support (the first version of Freesync).
