No expansions, what to do with taken king?

I have destiny, no expansions yet... I have to buy the two expansions ($35 for season pass to get 1 and 2)... then what? Can I just buy taken king and for how much? It oesn't show a price or anything in the store for it on xbox one... do I need to basically
pay another $60 and buy the game all over again? Just trying to figure out how much this is going to cost... with halo 5 and many other games coming out soon I think I will be done with destiny if I am expected to pay another 60 bucks just to get to the taken
king... or destiny 2.0 rather.

After code activation Destiny the Taken King ive received only two expansions without TTK

I ve playing destiny several months. Yesterday my wife presented we CD with Destiny Legendary Edition which contains all three expansion. Inside discbox ive found xbox store code:

After activation xbox stars to download expansion pass with first two expansions, but not The taken king expansion.

So now in the game Destiny saying i have to purchase The taken king expansion, but ive already have one. I told with MS online support- nothing, wrote several posts in the bungie forums - no answer.

What i have to do? Forget about 50$? Just buy expansion one more time? Or MS try to reactivate code and i can activate thirs expansion?

 

Expansion pass and Taken King

I haven't played in a very long time and bought the expansion pass with the game on release. I reinstalled Destiny yesterday along with the first two expansion packs. The Taken King does not show as part of the expansion pass but I am coming across the Taken
in game.

Do I already have The Taken King or do I need to buy it?.

 

Just buy the legendary ed and you get the two expansion with Taken King.

Agreed. Best solution would be getting the whole thing, which comes with Destiny, TDB, HoW, and TTK. Sure, buying Destiny twice, but cheaper than spending $35 for TDB and HoW, then $40 for TTK. Or, don't spend any on it, and while will get some 2.o drops,
will have to stay at the lvl 34 cap, and don't think will be able to really purchase anything, as the new currency is Legendary marks, and I don't think any Y1 activities that are still available drop those.

 

Destiny sounds like a huge rip off now with the taken king. Meh, why couldn't they just let us get TTK without the other two DLCs. I guess it's time to trade the game in... -.-'

 

I suppose $60 to buy it all again and get all expansions is akin to most games these days charging 50-60 for a season pass :/ Still *** me off though that they do this with most top games now...

So if I download the taken king full edition will it replace destiny in "My Games" on xbox one or will it show as a separate game now?

 

It just adds everything to it. It will only show up as separate entries in the 'Manage game' section

 

I'm assuming you have the digital copy of Destiny? I had no expansions either, but had the physical copy. Gamestop gave me $20 trade, so the upgrade was only $39.99.

I understand you are having questions with purchasing The Taken King Digital copy solely instead of the bundle. I have confirmed with Xbox that the The taken King [temporarily priced at 39.99] is not available through xbox.com or through destinythegame.com.
The least expensive edition are [ledgendary for 59.99 and collector's for 79.99] Also just so you know only the"bundle" is available for TTK. For you gamers who don't have Destiny-this is a PLUS , for you gamers who already have Destiny, Expansion II and Expansion
II-think of this as getting "twice the ice". but this is your only option if purchasing through xbox.com. Just a heads up if you go to destinythegame.com to purchase TTK, it will direct you to xbox.com. Soooo yeeeaaah....Now there may be a light in the tunnel
for you if this works...If you by chance own the Destiny game, exp 1 and exp 2 under your gamertag and you try to purchase the TTK "within" the game itself you may be able to get it for 39.99[no promises] But if you purchase TTK on 360 you cant play it on
xbox one-you will be required to purchase it on the xbox one...but if you purchase it on the xbox one you will be able to play on xbox 360-for free----yay!

Where did you get that information? I purchased on XBox One, and can't play on 360. Pre TTK, Bungie did have an upgrade to XBox One for those that had on 350, however, TTK isn't part of that.

 

So the cheapest option is to basically buy the game all over again. Thanks for the help yall.

Change u location to US or to Canada and u can see that u dlc not installed (in game and app)
