No download code in Xbox One MCC...you wouldn't believe what Microsoft wants me to do to ...

Has this happened to anyone else?

Purchased Xbox One MCC for my son's birthday. He opened package and set up the unit. We both thought there would be disks or the content was pre-loaded on the drive. After realizing it wasn't I contact Xbox support (this is a few days after opening).

Microsoft's response? About as crappy as you can imagine. I'm chatting with a "Darryl" who clearly is Asian-Indian. According to Darryl, I have to return the unit to Amazon and purchase a second xbox one. Yep, I am magically going to tape back together
the packing materials and pay for extra shipping twice because Microsoft won't provide me a replacement download code. And before you ask... I have all purchase documentation and offered it up to Microsoft. They didn't care.

Lost Halo MCC Bundle Code

I lost the download code for the Halo MCC from the Xbox One bundle I bought.. Is it possible to get a new code?

Depends on two things

If it was sold used to you then the retailer is responcible

If you bought it extremely cheap thrn you should questio. Thd reseller

Amazon has two systems

First amazon supported reseller that means they have to follow amazons rules

Return policy is amazons policy

If you bought it used at the etauler then no amount of refund policy will garentee you the code

If it is a amazon marketplace seller then you have to follow the resllers policy if they include a retuen shipping

 

Amazon offical resllers will alwyas give you the option of feee shipping and will say sold by amazon not byvthe said company

 

Amazon says Microsoft is responsible. It's a manufacturer's defect in their opinion.

 

Thats relative if the box is not openthen yes it would be an ms issue or is an open box or used then you need to take it up with the retailer as they sold you the opened product

Did you buy it from the marketplace or direct from amazon?

If direct from amazon then theybwill take returns as per their policy

If thru amazon markeetplace they are not responcibile and will refer you tonthe seller

 

Used products are not garenteed bybanyone not even amazon

Any product has a mandatory 30day rereturn policy where you take it up with the retailer

That is infact a law

If you bought it used it is upto the store

 

Any new product will come unopeneed

If you got it unopened and missing something you still take it up with the retailer

As they proccess the refund as per their policy

Amazon has a good policy unless you bought it from the marketplace which you have to take it up with the store itsefl

 

There is nothing ms can do as the code is included animously with thw box noone can tell if you or anyone else redeemed the code as each ccodes are sealed and not even support knows what e code other then the content was included

 

If you arw asking just for the code then no returns work that way

When something is included and is missing the whole package has to be returned as long as its in the return policy

And you get a new unit with a code as long as you bought it new

Return policy is upto amazon unless you bought a marketplace unit them yoi need to take it up with the martplace store itself

Ms nor amazon will issue an code as they are apecific to each unit and they couldnt verify that you used it on another account and said it was missing

Codes arent opened or visible till you open it not even ms would know what the code was or if it wzs even used
