    No Dolby Atmos with the new update


    hello,

    I'made the new update for Xbox One today (02/31/17) to test the bistream on my 4K Blu-ray and Blu-ray.

    But it doesn't seem working ...

    When i show informations of the Blu-ray (mad max and Star Trek beyond)

    I can see only, Dolby True-HD ( no atmos ) and my amplifier still on DTS, no Switch to Atmos or Dolby Digital...

    Somebody have the same issue ?

    I configured the Xbox on Bistream on audio settings and dts for compressed format ( no bitstream available)

    Have i missed a parameter ?

    Édit : i Forgot to say dolby atmos working on my ps3 for the Blu-ray and my amplifier Switch to Atmos for Madmax

    Xbox will only output sound in Dolby Atmos

    Since the April Xbox One update, my Xbox will now only output sound in Dolby Atmos mode, even when the content I am watching does not support Dolby Atmos. Before the update, there would only be Dolby Atmos sound when the show or movie I was watching supported
    Dolby Atmos. This isn't all that bad, except with Dolby Atmos I am unable to change the sound mode that my soundbar outputs. For example, when I am watching sports, I can't change the sound to sports mode because it thinks my cable service is somehow providing
    Dolby Atmos sound.

    Dolby atmos issues

    since the update my av receiver is in constant Dolby atmos even when using Netflix and games that don’t support Dolby atmos before the update my surround sound amp used to auto switch between different sound fields has anyone else had any Dolby atmos problems

    While additional bitstream formats are currently in the works, such as Dolby Atmos & DTS:X, they have not been released outside of the Xbox Insider program quite yet. According to

    the latest Xbox One Update News post    , this may light up next week. Keep an eye out on
    Xbox Wire for any announcements coming up! No Dolby Atmos with the new update :)

    If you turn off Dolby Atmos on tv with the new Xbox update you CANNOT use native Dolby Atmos, you can only use the downscaled headphones version

    If the game does not support Dolby Atmos, then the audio is normal stereo. Microsoft are working on updating Dolby Atmos, where if the game does not support Dolby, the audio will be converted to simulate Dolby Atmos.

    Will Microsoft every update the UHD blu ray player to be able to stream atmos?? It’s a joke

    Settings are all set up for atmos, the UHD player doednt support Dolby Atmos metadata. Highest it can do is Dolby Tru HD. The one x plays games - streams content from netflix, youtube etc in Dolby Atmos this is confirmed on thr TV and the Sound system.
    I have dolby access all my components are correct. I dont see why if microsoft have the license for Atmos (as its funtioning on all other aspects in tbr console) that they wouldnt just do a software update so the UHD player can. Looking at thr specs on tbe
    series x that still shows the new UHD player on the series x still doesnt put out dolby atmos. Needs updating

    Dolby Atmos on XBOX ONE X connected to DENON X3600H

    Very popular receiver, have one too. No atmos for game support and Arcing atmos back introduces too much latency.

    Apparently the issue rests with microsoft as Denon has updated the firmware to anticipate the new, updated version of Dolby atmos home cinema for games or “low latency atmos” so it’s called. The One X supports the regular cinema profile.

    Dolby Vision and Atmos are now fairly fragmented formats, makes me wonder if Microsoft should ditch them and go DTS:X moving forward.
