    no dolby atmos audio after last update (03/09/2021)

    Hi! I just updated my xbox series x and now I receive non audio from dolby atmos source. Evertything works fine (with the usual lag from the biststream that I hope will be fixed) but now I can't hear anything when I select Dolby Atmos.

    Headphones are working fine.

    I have the following setup:

    lg oled55cx6la

    jbl bar 9.1

    The soundbar is connected through eArc and before the update everything was working fine.

    Other sources work fine (eg, movies with atmos sound on netflix or disney+ apps installed on tv).

    Hope you can fix it, 'cause it's really annoying

    :)

    no dolby atmos audio after last update (03/09/2021)

    This is a known issue at the moment that has affected some for quite a while. I'm in the Alpha Skip Ahead Ring for the Insider Program and the most we've been told is that they're aware of it but it'll take longer to fix.

    Dolby Atmos for Headphones question

    If the game does not support Dolby Atmos, then the audio is normal stereo. Microsoft are working on updating Dolby Atmos, where if the game does not support Dolby, the audio will be converted to simulate Dolby Atmos.

    no dolby atmos sound,

    update

    tried a blue ray. plays audio through previews, and menu in "dolby audio"

    But when the actual movie tries to play, no audio, as the format is dolby atmos.

    Xbox Series X Audio Passthrough\Dolby Atmos doesn't work for Netflix or Disney + app

    Make sure your TV and AVR are compatible with Dolby Atmos: Both your TV and AVR need to support Dolby Atmos in order for the feature to work properly. Check the manufacturer's website to verify that your TV and AVR support Dolby Atmos.
    - all of my devices support Dolby Atmos

    Check the audio settings on your TV and AVR: Make sure that both your TV and AVR are set to the correct audio output mode for Dolby Atmos. For example, on your TV, you may need to set the audio output to "Bitstream" or "Dolby Digital Plus." On your AVR, you may need to set the audio input to "Dolby Digital Plus" or "Dolby Atmos."
    - all settings are correct

    Check for updates: Make sure that your TV, AVR, and Xbox are all up to date with the latest software. You may be able to check for updates in the settings menu of each device.
    - all of the devices with the last updates;

    Check the audio settings on your Xbox: Go to the settings menu on your Xbox and select "Display & sound," then choose "Audio output." Make sure that "Dolby Atmos" is selected as the audio format and that "Audio passthrough" is enabled.
    - all needed options are enabled;

    Try a different HDMI port: If you're using an HDMI splitter or switch, try connecting your Xbox directly to your TV or AVR to see if the issue persists. If the issue is resolved when using a different HDMI port, there may be an issue with the splitter or switch.
    I have a direct connection.

    All other applications work properly (blue ray disc movies, games, Dolby access app, etc., deliver to receiver Dolby Atmos). Netflix and Apple TV also worked properly before.

    Dolby Atmos not working Xbox one X

    At last its fixed!! Finally got atmos coming through the Amp after 5 months!! Must have been an update last night!! Denon 3600h. 11.2 atmos!!!
    But Atmos has always been working between Xbox and AVR, it's just it doesn't show on the screen of the AVR that the input signal is Atmos, based on what Dolby has said, it is cosmetic. And we managed to confirm that.

    I had an update from xbox today as part of the insider preview and I reinstalled the dolby app after it. Dolby atmos now seems to be finally working correctly after nearly a year 🥳🥳my x2600h is now displaying atmos and shows it is receiving atmos instead
