No disk needed

Either your console has a glitch or there is a profile on your console the owns the digital version of the game.

when you register your game with EA it only registers the online play of that game to your profile. when you install your game to the hard drive it doesn't render the disc useless. If you didn't have to put the disc in you could lend out the disc or sell
it and thats what they prevent you from doing. So to verify that you and you only have the game is why you need to insert the disc. Without doing this technically you could lend the game to a friend and they can buy the online pass by itself and and the both
of you could play for the cost of only 1 game and 1 online pass. Thats why they make you insert the disc.

Also, files are corrupted. A lot. May not be anyone's fault, just happens from transfers, etc. Disks are very durable (except for the occasional laser making a ring around the disk, but even that's fixable). But, this could be a cool idea, and will probably
be implemented sooner or later in Video Game history. They would defiantly have to make some more Security tweaks, for exact times like Yano said.

I add that if there was the possibility to run the game without disc... you may ask a friend to give you a game, install it on your console, and then, play without the disc. It's not fair! As we have said, you must insert the disc.
