No Digital Version?

I have been excited for this game for over a year, and last night I was beyond excited as midnight came closer and closer. I had saved up some money and had it all on my Account, having well over the full price for the game, to be safe. I waited and waited,
looking at the Games on Demand, and didn't see any new games until about an hour later, where it had Far Cry 4, which probably made a LOT of people happy, but... no DA:I... at least not for the 360 version.

I figured the game was still being loaded in or something, so I waited again, but I did search online, and... well, there's no digital version, which just blew my plans out of the water. Since I don't have the money outside of my account to buy it right
now, I have to wait a good while before I can (both with money and actually finding a store that has the game). EA has already been on my bad side lately, from a case with Kingdoms of Amalur, where two DLCs I bought won't work for the digital version of the
game and they won't even listen to me. I've been waiting for about a month for someone to email me about that as well.

Still, I'm thinking that there has to be a good reason as to why there isn't a digital version for the 360 (the PS3 has one available, yet the 360 doesn't? That is VERY weird to me). So I searched online for any answers as to why there isn't one ONLY for
the 360. And yet I found only one site that even had a forum that talked about it. Nothing was really reliable (saying something about it having the same issue as GTA5 or something, yet that one has a digital version out now), but that just has be even more
confused.

So basically, does anyone know exactly why there isn't a digital version for the 360? Was there a reason given in an article that my searches didn't show?

Seriously, that just ruined my night, getting all excited about finally playing DA:I, literally just seeing a small video about the character classes (Mages can have a freaking energy saber! That is freaking COOL! XD ), and then... well, talk about being
denied.

But... yeah, does anyone have a clue?

^ which is stupid. Halo CEA would have been a great opportunity to re-vamp Games on Demand.

If I have to pay FULL price for a game, I'd like to be able to download it while it's still something like full price in store.

 

I am having the same issue i called support and tweeted them and all it got me was blocked on twitter, with no response nor is there any word on wtf is wrong it is very irritating so i called there support line and it took hi over and 2 hours just to tell
me that live was having issues(what else is new) and if i wanted it to purchase it on the website, to be honest i dont want to do that i want to purchase it om the dashboard and be done with it. Because i have taken there advice and bought a 50 dollar game
wasted the money with no game. As for the twitter i saw support responding to everyone else's issues but apparently it takes four hours to get a response very frustrating and irritating live get it t8gether gurl

 

I am having the same problem and I contacted the support. I am from Brazil, but I buy games with an american account because of the prices, so I use VPN for Xbox Live and other services like Tv, apps, etc. Apparentely, I cannot buy Dragon Age yet on 360,
simply because of the time zone. The support said it will be available at 12:00 pm today, so I'll wait. I don't know where you're from, but maybe that's why you can't buy the game yet.

 

I been reading and searching over different forums sites. And people are saying there wont be a dragon inquisition for xbox 360 yet. Through on demand buying a digital copy

KHM Darkness where he clearly mentioned he searched and found there is NO digital Games on Demand version which is also stated by EA support:

Yeah, there is no Digital version for the game on the 360 (though I wonder why there is for the PS3...). I'm sure there is a really good reason for that, since that is taking away from their profits, but so far I haven't found any reason that was given.

I actually managed to get some extra cash yesterday (I got paid early! Talk about luck! AND there as a GameStop nearby that still had a new copy! ) so I managed to get a copy. It had a required hard drive install, which isn't that big of a deal for me,
installing it makes it run better anyway, as well as easier on the system. But the graphics are... ugh.

They are pretty ugly to me. Bland and smudged, as well as texture pop in that is as bad as Halo 2's, sometimes worse! DA2 looked FAR better in comparison, and that's probably because they scaled the game's graphics down, which looks awful, but I suppose
they couldn't make completely new designs for the last gen.

Still, I wonder why if that is the reason. So far, I haven't encountered any real glitches, only graphical glitches that don't do anything to the game itself (like people standing in the way, characters' legs spazzing in and out of the ground (Varric was
even doing a little dance before from it, being his legs as he spoke to me), textures taking about ten seconds or longer to load in and will look like blocks until they do, everything wet looks like glass... I'm sure I'm forgetting some other things, but,
again, they were minor and didn't affect the gameplay. It still is worthwhile to note, though... and that it might be fixed in a future patch. That, and seeing the horrible graphics on my character can pull me out of the immersion.

In any case, I still haven't found out why there is no digital version while every other system it's on has one. Is the 360 really that far behind...?

 

I spoke to support today and they said "there's no word yet, but keep an eye on our social media pages" so I'm guessing that means it'll be coming as a download at some point in the future, just hope its the near future

 

This was literally the last straw for me. Over the years I've put up with a lot of crap from Microsoft all while hotly defending their brand but this was the straw that broke the camels back. They lost another loyal customer with this one.

 

This was pretty much the same for me - waited two years, scheduled time off work, was so hyped... The disc drive on my 360 died and I didnt plan to upgrade to the Xbox one until mid 2015, so I was ready to go at midnight on the release night to start the
download.... So, I will not be buying the Xbox one this year - or any other Microsoft product ever again. I will also not be giving money to Bioware ever again. No reason has been given for the lack of available download and I'm no longer interested.

 

Six months on from your post MelloWilco and still no download. Seems Microsoft are only interested in Xbox One players these days. I've had enough too. So bearing in mind Microsoft's - we care about profit, not people - attitude I'll be spending my money
on a PS4 this summer.
