No device linked with MS account.

I purchased Halo reach on my PC, went to install ain my xb1 and was informed that there is no device linked with my account. After reading and trying the, unhelpful, troubleshooting i still cannot install the game. The Xbox does not recognise i have purchased
the game and i cannot manage my devices. If i try to delete one i get a yellow bar across the screen and a TraceId code.

Thanks for coming to the forums. We recommend to check the purchase of the game. It is very possible you purchased the PC version. As there is an Xbox version and a PC version. You can check by going to your

order history.

The accounts are linked to the consoles. I think you need to de link the account on the MS accounts, devices section to release your profile.

Unfortunately, the Microsoft account only has linked social network accounts, game accounts such as ubsoft, epic games, psn, are done in reverse, that is, the platform account is linked to the microsoft account, and microsoft does not have access accounts owned by other companies.

In your case, only Playtstation can help in this process since Microsoft does not have access to either the process or the information.

Exact MS account check!

Linked to Xbox account uncheck... that one doesn't have the funds.

My MS account -> linked to old account that MS or EA cannot assist with, thus orphaned.
no MS account ->New Xbox account not linked, but have Game pass on.

Is there a way to remove an Xbox account and link a new one?

You can also check this link for any activity (Not Xbox devices)

You'll at least be able to see where and when activity on the MS account took place
