No dev mode activation app in store?

Hi!

So the problem I'm facing atm is that I can't find the Dev Mode Activation app in the xbox one store. I have checked both the game version and the app version.

I have created a dev account and I have paid the fee. It even says that my account status is active and that the verification status is authorized.

So does anyone know why I can't find the app? Has it been removed or is something else going on?

Problem in app "Dev mod activation"

Hi, I'm using XDK, but im can't use app "Dev Mod activation". This App crash on step 2. No error, no message, just close application. How can I be?

Problem setting Xbox One for Dev Mode

I'm trying to setup an XB1 for dev mode. I installed the Dev Mode app on the XB1 and generate a activation code. But when I go to

developer.microsoft.com/en-us/XboxDevi… and click the Enter Activation Code button nothing happens.

 

Hi, go to the store and search for devmode, that just brought the app up here.

 

Something else to bear in mind is that if you are a part of the Xbox preview update program you must quit that before you can use the dev mode.

If you’re part of the Xbox One Preview program, you’ll need to leave that program before you can join this one. If you decide that you don't want to get Preview updates anymore, you can opt out from the Xbox Preview Dashboard app.

Here's how to remove your console from the Xbox Preview program:

1. Open the Xbox Preview Dashboard app.
2. Select Registration.
3. Under Manage flights, select Change.
   Note If you have more than one console in the program, you can change their statuses by using
   Manage other consoles.
   
4. Under Manage programs, select Remove, and then select Submit. You'll be prompted to select a reason for leaving.
   

If you run into any issues, post in the private Xbox Early Access forums for help.

Note It will take one business day after requesting to be removed from the Preview Program for your request to process. Until then, you will not be able to download the app, and your console's status will show as Pending.

Searched for devmode in the store, still can't find it. I tried changing over to the us store (was in the swedish store before) to see if I can find it there. But I still couldn't find it.

I'm not in the Preview program so that isn't the problem.

 

Strange, if you check the language & location settings on the Xbox is everything set up in there correctly ?

 

Yeah everything is set up correctly. I tried power cycling, signing in and out of my profile but it didn't help.

I don't know if it will pop up later this summer, when it's released. Unless it already has been released out of it's preview thing.

 

As far as I am aware the app should be available to anyone right now. Rather than searching a specific section in the store try searching the whole store, dev devmode dev mode all bring the app here for me.

I'm not sure if having the Xbox set as your home xbox makes a difference or not but that may be worth checking out.

 

Still nothing. I tried searching for every keyword you mentioned but still can't find it.

The most annoying thing is that when I start typing dev it suggestes dev mode activation, and when I press it. It takes me to a page that it couldn't find it.

Setting my xbox to home xbox didn't do anything for me.

Ok can you try a few things, try simply signing out and then back into your account on the Xbox.

Clear the alternate MAC address, that's in settings/ all settings/ network/ advanced settings/ alternate Mac address, select clear and then select restart.

Try pressing and holding the power button on the Xbox for 10 seconds and the Xbox will power off, power on again using the power button on the Xbox.

Try removing and adding your account back to the Xbox

Somewhat of an update.

I'm right now talking to support through mail.

I will keep this thread open if that's possible and I will post the solution unless we can't find an answer.

I don't know if the support team can "force" it on my console aka they install it for me. But I will post an answer once we find one, because I don't think that I am the only one atm or in the future that will get the same problem.

 

I'm having the same issue. I have upgraded my XBOX one to 10.0.14393.1018 and am not part of Preview Program.

My XBOX one is bought in China and i can not change the location and the language. My question is the 'Dev Mode Activation' app is available to China or not ?? Thanks !
