No connection on xbox live

How to connect to Xbox Live in X1

Xbox Live is under DDOS attack at the moment. I'm sure MS will have it solved shortly.

 

Connection to Internet aok, but won't connect to Xbox Live.

Have been trying to get onto Xbox Live since yesterday. When testing the connection it goes through all of the steps (connection, internet, etc.) but fails at Xbox Live. Followed the steps it asked me to do on my 360 before sending me to the Xbox website.
On the Website I went through the follow steps:

Connection Type: Wired

Did resetting the network settings work: No

Did restarting the network hardware work: No

Where does the error occur?: Xbox Live: Failed

Which error are you getting?: Internet Error: Your console is connected to the internet but can't connect to xbox live.

Is Xbox Live service down?: No

Is your firewall blocking Xbox Live: No

Is your ISP blocking Xbox Live: No

Does a direct modem connection work?: No

The last step told me to post my issue on here...

The Xbox Live Core Service is currently limited for a wider scope of Xbox customers living in Europe.

Microsoft is aware of this problem and are trying to get their services up and running as quickly as possible.

wtf is going on!! between 25 and 30 hours without xbox live. this sucks! it was perfect, and now I'm getting very frustrated!!

 

Join the club, My xbox has been down since Monday roughly around 7pm it's now Wednesday 5am and would you believe it, Its still not up and running! Can't believe how longs it been. Paying for something that does not work, You wouldn't do that with a mobile
phone, So why we are doing it with a Xbox ill never know! This problem needs to be fixed,

Also if you ask me Xbox should do something for the millions of people they are letting down with there service!

Question my self if it's even worth keeping or just moving the family onto the Ps4

 

These disruptions of services happens every few month and are probably unavoidable. But what really annoys me is the following: everytime this happens my console informs me that it cannot connect to Xbox Live. Then it offers to perform a network test. The
results are always the same: network OK, Internet OK, no connection to Xbox Live. The only solution it then offers is to reset my modem and try again. I found out this morning that it takes my modem 20 minutes to reset. This had no effect so once my modem
was back online I checked the Microsoft website only to discover that Xbox Live services was offline. Now I'm irritated because since internet is still available why doesn't my console retrieve the Xbox live services status and inform me that Xbox Live services
is offline (saving me the trouble of resetting my modem and checking the website) instead of pretending that my internet connection is the source of the problem which it rarely is. I can't think of a good reason why Microsoft shouldn't be able to program the
Xbox360 to use the internet connection (which it indicates itself is still available) to check the status of Xbox Live services. Or they could at least have the console tell me to check the status of Xbox Live services first just like the official website
does, saving me the trouble of resetting my modem and wasting twenty minutes. Really, really annoying. I wonder what my next console will be... (I've owned both a PSOne and a PS2 before buying an Xbox360).

glad im not the only one mine has been down about 3 days now its starting to become a joke.

 

I'm personally disgusted, this company must be run by a bunch of monkeys, i'm seriously thinking of cancelling my subscription and going to PS4, not even an email to inform us there is a problem at their end and NOT our xboxes at fault after several times
resetting my modem and still getting the SAME message i have now given up with xbox live and it's incompetence

 

go on xbox live chat support and give them hell I said want compensation and got told no,but would not take no and just kept going on about I pay for service,in the end got given 6 mth code for xbox live all do it give them hell Microsoft greed
