NO CODES, AGAIN!

Before we proceed and provide you an usefull answser, we need some information:

- When does the error code pop-up?

- For how long do you recieve the error code?

- Which Xbox Console are you using: Xbox 360, Xbox Elite or Xbox S-console?

- Are you wireless or wired connected to the Internet.

And, were you on the Xbox 360 console when you got that error, or were you on a computer? If the latter, were you using Internet Explorer 8, 9 or 10? Those web browsers are much better at rendering the ASPX Active Server Pages
used on the Xbox websites.

They would have emailed the code to you. If you don't have it, check your order history on the redemption page of the Rewards site. It'll either list the code there or give the option to resend it.

I would recommend you focus on solutions 2,3,7 & 8. Being you have already tried 1,4,5 & 6.

Problem

You see the following error code and message when you try to sign in to Xbox LIVE:

Sorry, either that's the wrong password or the email you entered doesn't have an Xbox LIVE membership. Please try again, or go to Xbox.com/forgot if you need help.

Code: 80048821

This may mean one of the following:

• Your Xbox LIVE profile is corrupted.
• There’s a problem with the security proofs for your Microsoft account.

Solutions

• • Solution 1: Restart your Xbox 360 console.
  • Solution 2: Verify the password for your Microsoft account. Verify that the password that you entered is correct. If you forgot your password or can’t sign in with your password,
    reset your password.
    
  • Solution 3: Try to sign in at Xbox.com. Here’s how:
  1. Click Sign In at the top of any
     xbox.com page, such as this one.
  2. Type the user name and password for your Microsoft account, and then click
     Sign In.
  3. If you can sign in on Xbox.com, try to sign in on your Xbox console again.
• Solution 4: Update the security proofs for your Microsoft account.
  Verify and, if necessary, add security proofs to your Microsoft account. For example, add a new email address or phone number.

After you verify and update the security proofs for your Microsoft account, sign in to Xbox LIVE and again try to purchase or download the content.

• • Solution 5: Clear the system cache. Here’s how:
  1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
  2. Go to Settings and select System Settings.
  3. Select Storage or Memory.
  4. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)
     
  5. Select Clear System Cache.
  6. When you are prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.
     
• Solution 6: Move and then redownload your Xbox LIVE profile. Here’s how:
  

1. Format a spare
   USB flash drive as a Memory Unit.
2. Move your profile to the flash drive that you formatted in step 1. To do this, follow these steps:
   

1. Plug the USB flash drive into your console.
2. Press the Guide button on your controller.
3. Go to Settings, System Settings, and then Storage.
4. Select All Devices.
5. Select Gamer Profiles, and then select your gamer profile.
6. Select Move.
7. Select the USB flash drive to which you want to move your profile.
8. Remove the USB flash drive from your console.

• Re-download your profile. For help, see
  Download, move, or delete your Xbox LIVE profile.
• Solution 7: Delete the Marketplace System Data file. The Xbox 360 console also stores temporary files for the Xbox Games Store. You might resolve this issue if you delete the Marketplace System Data file. Here’s how:
  

1. Press the Guide button on your controller.
2. Go to Settings, and then System Settings.
3. Select Storage, and then select your primary storage device.
4. Select System Items.
5. Select Marketplace System Data.
6. Select Delete.
7. Restart your console.

• Solution 8: Delete the most recent system update. Here’s how:

1. Press the Guide button on your controller
2. Go to Settings and then System Settings.
3. Select Storage.
4. Highlight (but do not select) Memory Unit.
5. On your controller, press the following buttons in the following order:

1. Left bumper
2. Right bumper
3. X button

Note If you don't know where these buttons are on your controller, see
Xbox 360 wired and wireless controllers.

• • 1. Repeat step 5.
    2. When you see the following message, select Yes:

Delete System Update

If any storage device contains a system update, the update and access to Xbox LIVE will be removed. To use these features again, sign in to Xbox LIVE and download the update. For more info, visit www.xbox.com/storage.

Your console will restart after the operation is complete. Do you want to continue?

At thia point what does it matter... Microsoft constantly fails to check age in every way possible... Im 31 and was banned just this week for voicing my opinion and telling a child that they were in violation by playing cod which is a rated m-mature for
ages 17+ but yet the douchebags at microsoft still allows kids to play these games... As of now i have filed a complaint with the esrb and u.s. child protective services against microsoft and there blantent disregard for child welfare.. If you feel the same
way this is your only option in any hopes of resolving this issue... Make your reports with the esrb and us dept of child services..
