No chat on turtle beach x12 headset with headset adapter.

I want to use my old turtle beach x12 headset, so i bought the stereo headset adapter.

Because i want use the chat function of my x12.

I have done the update on my controller.

But the chat function on the headset is not working, i can hear myself but no one else can.

No problem with the game sound, that does work.

Can anybody help me

first off can you let us know what headset it is e.g Turtle Beach X12

also are you using the Xbox HDMI audio adapter

If I buy this adapter will it allow me to chat via my turtle beach x12 headset need a 100% answer before I go out and by the adapter?

Sorry to hear about the headset issue! For clarification, do you have the Ear Force X12, or the Ear Force DX12?

I would check out the
Xbox One Headset Compatibility guide to make sure your headset has the right cables.

Post back with which headset you have, that will help us out a lot!

 

so is the ear force x12 supposed to work with xbox one if you have an adapter?

 

That headset is not listed on Turtle Beach's Console Compatibility Guide for Xbox One, so it is unfortunately not compatible.

 

It's not true. They are perfectly compatible and is listed but with Xbox One headset adaptor. What you have to do is Press chat balance in the xbox one adaptor until you hear a tone. You must regulate between TV sound and chat.

It's not difficult and it's perfectly compatible.

This question was never answered. I'm having the same problem. All works well on the headset other than the fact that people can not hear me chat. Any resolution?

 

Ive been all over the web for hours. I have stero adapter and a 2.5 to 3.5 converter. I can hear game and chat. cant mix seperately. its one or the other. nobody can hear me. Every thread ive searched online has diff answers. Including it wont work at all
to u gotta do soldering. Can somebody that has an x12 where chat works and they didnt solder stuff let me know what i need to do?

 

PS I have no prob with getting v audio. I need ppl to be able to hear me. Shame on u microsoft for making this stuff so hard or not work at all. Whwn I just got a new system and new games I shouldnt have to shell out more money for an adapter and a converter
to still be sitting here unable to play with my friends cuz noody will play with a no mic.
