No chat mixer settings

So my friends that i talk to have multiple options they can choose regarding chat. I am talking about when you double tap the xbox button and you go down to settings. Apparently there a bunch of options regarding your headset they you can modify, like volume.
But for some reason i dont have these settings on my console. I checked to see if im updated and i am. or at least i think. It says the last time it update was on 4/23/2016 and the last update check was today. I don't know if i didnt get a update for some
reason but i would really like those settings on my console. Please help!

Headset chat mixer slider missing from Volume settings

yesterday the headset chat mixer slider was in my settings but today it is not. 2nd gen Astro a50, 2.5mm/3.5mm cable from headset directly into 3.5mm port on controller. No adapter used. Why did the chat mixer dissapear and how do I get it back?

i have the microsoft xbox one stereo headset and ive noticed that when really loud noises happen during a game my chat icon appears on screen.

so im guessing my mic is picking up the sound, does that mean my headset is to loud? or is there a setting to lower like the chat mixer or mic monitoring?

 

It will only show up if you have a headset that is plugged in with a headset adapter. Means it works with turtle beach headsets and others like that. It won't work with the headset that comes with the xbox. If you buy a chatpad you get a other headset with
itthat one works too. Other then that the headset options don't show up with the standard headset. Hope that helps.

I am using an adapter. And i just checked, it tells me that there is no update available for my controller. So i don't know what to do and why i dont have the settings.

 

If you have an adapter you should be able to control the headset with the adapter itself. The on screen volume mixer is more for controllers that have headset jacks built into them.

 

Oh so it is for the headsets that dont use adapters? Because yeah i can control the headset on my adapter.
