No Bluray audio

Discus and support No Bluray audio in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; So I tried watching a Bluray movie last night, and I had no audio output at all when I was in the Bluray app. Not even when I hit the guide button....     No Bluray audio


    So I tried watching a Bluray movie last night, and I had no audio output at all when I was in the Bluray app. Not even when I hit the guide button. Eventually I fiddled with the audio and Bluray settings and I finally got the sound to work. Awesome right?
    Well I tried a different movie today, and the opening trailers had audio. But when I got to the movie itself, no audio. I tried messing with the settings again, and I couldn't find anything that worked. I checked with the bonus content, and somehow the audio
    is fine there. It's just the actual feature content. I'm in the Beta preview program, and I can only assume updates there had something to do with this issue. I was able to watch Bluray movies just fine less than a week ago. I'm switching from Beta to Gamma
    and hopefully that'll put things back to how they were. This definitely has nothing to do with my TV settings. I also tried uninstalling the Bluray app, which did nothing.

    Blu ray player app doesn't play regular DVD?

    I popped in a Netflix DVD (not a BluRay) yesterday, the BluRay app popped up, I installed it. Now, it goes to the main screen where it says BluRay, a 'loading circle' is below it, then the audio plays from the DVD, but no video.

    Oxbox One Blue Ray app not playing video

    Blueray app on our Xbox One will play audio but not video from a DVD or Blueray disc.

    I'm having similar issues, but it occurs not just on the bluray app, but all media apps (Netflix Hulu prime and media player), and most games. T.v. is fine, no outside audio receiver, and system sounds work fine. I've got to see if the account used is
    part of beta as well, but not sure if this is related.

    Cannot Enable 3D BluRay

    Well, by changing to HDMI, I was able to select 3d and get it to play. However - there is no Audio!

    The audio works on regular BluRays and all other apps, but not BluRay 3D.

    Any ideas?

    Audio settings totally screwed up on XB1S

    Ok, last update but this might be useful.

    After doing another hard reset I didn't risk trying to set audio up as atmos. It let me set hdmi and optical to bitstream and I left it at dts surround.

    Tried playing a non-atmos bluray, this played fine showing as dolby-dts hd on my receiver. And interestingly if I go back to xbox audio settings I can still change the settings without an error.

    So it does look like using the bluray player app while atmos is configured in xbox audio wrecks xbox audio so bad it needs a hard reset but the bluray app is fine if xbox audio not set to atmos.

    Guess I'll have to save the atmos movies I wanted to watch till this is fixed but at least I can watch other blurays without trashing my audio...
