NO Blu-Ray 3D playback on TV LG 55UH850V

Hi, I'd like to report that the Blu-Ray 3D discs can't be played on a Xbox One S connected to a TV LG 55UH850V (4K with 3D TV)

3D image is not detected. And the signal gets lost when the menu is supposed to appear in 3D, previous logos and messages in 2D are played normally. When I eject the disc the signal with the TV returns again. This problem is only with 3D discs, and not
with 4K or regular Blu-Ray's.

3D Blu-ray movies no longer play in 3D mode

I'm having 3D playback problems as well! I'm using an Xbox One S and 3D Blu-ray worked perfectly before the summer update! When I try to play 3D now its converted down to 2D, the play 3D check box in settings is now unchecked and when I try to switch it
back on the Xbox says the TV isn't 3D! To me, it looks like an HDMI handshaking issue which has been caused by the summer update. For information purposes I'm using an LG 4k 3D TV.

 

3d blu ray problems

My xbox one S no longer plays 3d blu ray movies. Any 3d blu ray movie fails to proceed past the trailers and blanks my display out with NO Signal.

I have not changed any hardware - xbox one s - provided hdmi cable, LG 4k TV - no recent firmware updates.

I've tried swapping cables, swapping hdmi ports all to no avail.

 

I have the exact same issue with mine and a similar LG TV UH955V. Can someone from support please provide a response?

Set your XBOX One S to 1080p and not 4K, it should work fine.

The XB is attempting to scale the image up to 4K, which makes it an invalid format.

To set your resolution to a lower resolution but switch to 4K when 4K content is played:

1. Open the guide and go to Settings > All settings > Display & sound > Video output and then make sure TV resolution is set to 720p or 1080p.
2. Select Advanced video settings and make sure Allow 4K is checked.

Finally found a more stable solution - set your Xbox to output 24 bits per pixel [8 bit colour] as the colour depth, not 30 or 36, this seems to fix the issues with the xbox failing to step down from 4K to 1080p in the dash and the Blu Ray app when playing

Wouldn't that make you lose the HDR playback? Or is that still functional?
