No bitstream out option since update 2022

Since the the update from 2022, the bitstream out option is gone in Xbox. Now I don't have audio when selecting Dolby Atmos in the menu.

My question is when is there going to be an update? Just to be clear there isn't a workaround or solution.

You can find more users having the same issue. It seems an issue with the update for Dolby Access and Xbox. Older firmware don't have this issue.

They literally just took this away today. Right now, I have to run uncompressed 7.1 instead of Dolby Atmos because Bitstream is gone. No audio comes out when I have Dolby Atmos selected

My setup is Xbox>pus8535 Philips tv > Sony htg700 atmos soundbar

My xbox still does not show a dolby option in the optical out on my settings. The Dolby 5.1 and 7.1 options are there for the HDMI out option though. Bitstream is off though. Do the options show up in bitstream?

Bitstream hasn't been removed.

Must be a compatibly/handshake issue somewhere.

My series X and s are both on the latest update and DD bitstream is working perfectly.

Are you certain? Yes, DD and other formats are being output but it is in PCM format not bitstream since the November 2021 Xbox update.

Not sure if you wanted me to elaborate or not If you go into settings then under display and sound. You have a new option Under optical audio pick bitstream out the below that option is bitstream format choose dolby.

It does or at least the next update does.

Settings-->Display & sound:

- Digital Audio:

1. HDMI audio (stereo uncompressed, 5.1 uncompressed, 7.1 uncompressed, Bitstream out)

2. Optical audio (Off, Stereo uncompressed, Bitstream out)

-if u select Bitstream out (DTS Digital Surround, Dobly Digital)
