No BC discs are recognized

Having read that Lost Odyssey is now backwards compatible I dug out my old discs hoping to play. But when I put in disc 1 it just says "install disc" on the menu and I can't do anything with it. I have many 360 games installed already but they're all digital.
This is the first time I'm trying to do it with a disc. I then tried my other games which the list says is BC but all just say "install disc" when I put it in and they do nothing and can't be interacted with at all. I use external storage and read that you
needed 4 gigs on the internal drive but I have ~250 gigs of that free. Not sure what to do at this point.

Same here. None of my discs are being recognized and I also can't manage any of my apps

 

Every Game I insert into Xb1 it comes up with "Do you own this game or app"? Games are New.

I have the same problem. None of my discs are recognized. I can't install either. Fix this Microsoft!

 

I am having the same issue with cod 3 & W at W says Install Disk ..all my other BC 360 Disks work fine

 

I'm having the same issue with Black Ops and World at War. They work fine on my other console but not the one I want them on. Digital Xbox 360 games work fine...

 

Same problem. Tried the following discs: Gears 1, 2, 3, Red Dead, Bordeland 1. None works. The label says install disk but nothing happens.

Has everyone done a full
power cycle on their Xbox One console? Sometimes it could boil down to just having your console needing the necessary updates. Please be sure to check out the troubleshooting article that outlines problems
playing a disc on your Xbox One if you haven't already as well! For additionally testing, would you all play a DVD or Blu-ray and see if your console is able to recognize and play it?

I went through every troubleshooting step as well with support staff, all the way through resetting to factory defaults, and nothing worked. I have tried Jurassic Park, Lost Odyssey, Dark Souls, Assassin's Creed and Assassin's Creed 2 -- none worked. All
discs test fine in my Xbox 360 and all Xbox One discs are working fine on my One, so the respective disc drives seem to be functioning as usual.

Interestingly, Disc 2 of Lost Odyssey was at least somewhat recognized because it gave the "this disc is not compatible" error. Disc 1 (the proper one to use for installing) just does nothing.

I checked my dvd's and blu-rays, and they worked. I also did a power cycle and that didn't work. I also read that apparently having the console in instant-on mode makes some systems unable to recognize disks, so I changed that but the problem still persists.
And to make sure the problem isn't my disks I cleaned them as outlined by the troubleshooting guide but still no luck. I even changed the default install location to the Xbox One's internal storage thinking maybe that would help but unfortunately it didn't.

 

Are all of you in the Preview Program? If so, be sure to check out the Preview Forums and post the issues you've been having with the discs there, including which
games are having the errors. Additionally, you can report this through the Feedback app on your Xbox One console by holding the home button on your controller.

Just trying to install Reach and having he same problem on my XBO S in the preview program.

Installed Gears 3 the other night from disc without issue.

 

Did the restarts ,hard reset ,tested dvd and bluray discs..all is good with all other xbone and 360 games i already had installed..but cannot install new BC 360 Discs? hope Microsoft tech support is looking for a fix?

 

Same thing happening to me and Ive tried every step posted on here. Im going to try to leave the preview program. I'll keep you guys updated on my success or failure!

 

Please keep us posted HydroGamingYT..i thought about leaving preview program as well but i figured the damage is already done with the latest major update
