    No background sound effects, dialogue or music on Red Dead Redemption played on Xbox One X


    Hi!

    Just downloaded and tried to play RDR-- video works fine, but sound is messed up: only able to hear some selected sound effects, like foot steps, gunshots. Music, dialogue, etc. doesn't work.

    Xbox One X hooked up to 5.1 Receiver with HDMI. Sound output set to 5.1

    No problem with any other game -- Xbox One or 360. No problem with other apps or BluRay.

    Any thoughts?

    Have tried clearing the cache, changing to stereo output and rebooting.

    Hi!

    I had the same problem and it was enough for me to uninstall the game and re-install it. Probably there was some corrupt data during the installation of the last update.
