    No auto update and game install when off


    Hi, it seems the issue is come back again... Instant-on mode is on but no auto update (instead update screen shows up when console turning on) and game installation is stopped when turning off console.

    It seems instant-on mode not working again. Do you have the same issue?

    The auto updates setting being turned off, only stops it from automatically downloading updates. But when it is necessary for the update to install, then the console will interrupt your gaming and ask you to download the update. If you don't then you cannot
    play online until you do.

    it is waking periodically to check for updates, this requires the hdd to run and the fan comes on, if you don't want this then configure the power setting to fully turn of the xbox, this will turn off the auto updating feature so you would most likely have
    to manually install game updates when starting a game.

    when turning the xbox off, if the light is blinking but the screen is off then it is auto downloading an update.

    the crackling could be interference between controller and xbox.

    Games crashing - not sure.

    It may have already installed itself then, do you have auto update and the likes on, also is the game disc or digital, if digital that can explain the auto installing of dlc.
