    i have a turtle beach stealth 500x and i was looking at the settings for audio, i can get audio with the stereo uncompressed setting but not bitstream. i played with the audio to my tv and it too will not have any audio using bitstream

    Hi

    Had same problem with amazon instant video,

    Put tv into standby then back on after starting film and worked fine.

    Same problem. Pioneer receiver. I also notice that if my xbox turns on before the receiver that I have no sound at all until I reboot my xbox. I am connected via HDMI only. I think it is an xbox issue (or netflix) as it seems to happen across different
    receivers. It would be nice if it could get fixed.

    Hi therizino,

    Sorry you're having problems with your headset. Per the
    user guide     do the following. Go to Settings, All Settings, Display and Sound, then Optical Audio and Select Bitsteam Out. Then under bitstream Format Select Dolby Digital. Do not select DTS Digital Sound. I actually have the Astro A50s which are very similar
    in setup, and if the sound settings are not 100% correct you won't get correct sound through the optical port.

    Let us know if you're still having issues.

    i have done this and i still continue to get no audio regardless if i select dolby digital or dts digital... my hdmi connection to my tv suffers from the same problem. had this been an issue on pc i would just reinstall the drivers.

    Has your headset ever worked? If you do not have an amp that can read Dolby, then you won't be able to test the settings with something else. If you do have an amp that you can use optical audio with, I'd try using that and setting it to Dolby. Hope that
    makes sense. Also, you may want to reach out to TurtleBeach using the link below to see if there are any firmware updates for your headset that could help resolve this issue.

    yes it has worked in the past for both my tv and my headset. no i do not have an amp, bit i can run the optical to my tv, it does have an optical input

    I have left the transmitter unplugged for a day and plugged it back up and it is working with bitstream. thank you hydro.
