no audio/video output and controllers won't connect to console

I can use my controllers to turn the xbox on, but once it turns on, they never sync to the console. If I try to resync the controller to the xbox, it acts as if it found it but still does not connect. After a while, the console turns off by itself.

No settings have been change since the xbox was last used, which was 2 hours ago. The console has not been moved. No wires attached to the tv or console or anything have been moved. The set up is exactly the same as the last time played.

    :)

HDMI Splitter with cable box and surround sound receiver

    From Support:

Basic setup with an audio/video receiver

With an audio/video (A/V) receiver, the best and most direct option is to connect the devices sequentially:

1.Connect your set-top box HDMI output to the Xbox One HDMI input.

2.Connect the Xbox One HDMI output to your A/V HDMI input.

3.Connect your A/V HDMI output to the HDMI input on your television.

    Notes

•This option requires that all devices support audio over HDMI.

•Surround sound from your set-top box will not be passed through the Xbox One.

•When you perform this kind of basic setup with an A/V receiver, you’re passing both audio and video through another device. Depending on your equipment, there is a small risk of audio or video lag.

Why is the audio from HDMI 24KHz?

Hello! Where are you getting the reading from? The console does support digital audio output of 48KHz, and if your equipment can support that specification, that's what it should use. Have you tried a different HDMI cable? Are you connecting the console
to an audio receiver with video pass-through, then to your TV or Monitor? These systems can sometimes not "play nice" with the HDMI handshake process, and may induce errors in the audio or video streams, which is what you might be seeing. Another method of
connecting the console (That ensures HDCP compatibility) is to connect your console directly to your TV or Monitor, then use the optical outputs to connect to your audio system.

Use steroe headset and mic to a 360 controller?

The jackplug in the controller is for chat only. The stereo feed for a headset is taken from an audio adapter connected into the A/V socket on the back of the console, or from the audio output on the TV.
