No audio output in the Bluray app

So my Xbox One X has been my primary Bluray player since November, and I've had no issue with it at all up until about two weeks ago. Basically there's no audio output when in the Bluray app. So no audio from the movie, the main menu or even the Xbox guide.
I have a temporary and inconvenient fix by resetting my Xbox. I can of course keep all my games and apps installed, but it requires me to go through the initialization all over again. Quite the pain to just have the audio work. And like I said, it's temporary.
I did the reset about two days ago which fixed the problem, but when I went to watch a movie today, once again no audio. I don't get how resetting everything gets it back to normal, but after a day or so it goes back to no sound. Also a kind of odd factor
is that I do get audio through headphones plugged into my controller. Fine for when I'm just watching on my own, but not a viable solution for when I'm trying to watch a movie with my wife.

I'm in the preview program, but I think it's safe to say that's not the issue. I unenrolled and removed the preview updates, and that temporarily fixed the problem because it had me reset my system and go through the initialization process. I also tried
changing every audio setting and Bluray app setting, and nothing. I'm at a loss with this. It's clearly not a hardware issue either. And as far as I can tell, no one else is having this same problem. Very frustrating situation.

Blu-ray Player App ver 2.0.34.70 has broken DTS-MA audio on vanilla XBox One

TL;DR Problem: No audio output for DTS-MA on Blu-ray media on original XBox One model

Howdy Team XBox,

I own all 3 models of the XBox One console: the original vanilla, the S, and the X. The new BluRay player updates that came in after the November releases of the X work as advertised for my S and X. However, the DTS-MA audio option on BluRays is now flawed
on the vanilla XBox One.

There is either no audio output at all (mute) or there might be a clicking sound. Secondary audio options on the BluRay, typically stereo audio Commentary tracks, work fine. Something is up with the DTS handshake.

I have attempted to troubleshoot this by using both HDMI and TOSLINK audio cables for audio output to my display's default speakers, to a surround sound system directly, etc--using every Audio Output option/bitstream available in settings. No luck and no
dice for the DTS-MA audio tracks that are commonly the primary (or only) English audio selection for our cinema.

No Bluray audio

So I tried watching a Bluray movie last night, and I had no audio output at all when I was in the Bluray app. Not even when I hit the guide button. Eventually I fiddled with the audio and Bluray settings and I finally got the sound to work. Awesome right?
Well I tried a different movie today, and the opening trailers had audio. But when I got to the movie itself, no audio. I tried messing with the settings again, and I couldn't find anything that worked. I checked with the bonus content, and somehow the audio
is fine there. It's just the actual feature content. I'm in the Beta preview program, and I can only assume updates there had something to do with this issue. I was able to watch Bluray movies just fine less than a week ago. I'm switching from Beta to Gamma
and hopefully that'll put things back to how they were. This definitely has nothing to do with my TV settings. I also tried uninstalling the Bluray app, which did nothing.
