No audio output all of a sudden

Hello all, recently I've run into an audio problem. Probably about an hour ago I had sound working fully, playing through both my headset and my monitor. I left to go get food and now that I've came back home and went to hop on. No sound is coming through
anything. I've tried restarting the console, plugging the console into my TV to make sure it wasn't just my monitor that was messed up, and switched between multiple controllers and headsets (I have 3 controllers and 2 headsets, game or chat audio doesn't
come through any of them. It also doesn't come out on either the monitor or TV). I've tried all the troubleshooting methods, changed my audio settings and then putting it back to what I had and it seems like nothing is working at all. Is anyone else having
audio issues all of a sudden like this?

Got it working! Turns out I had a Firmware update for my controller in the 'Accessories' tab and that brought the sound back.

The next thing to check would be the HDMI cable. The process you want to follow is to identify what is causing the issue, be it a cable, console or display so swap them out only changing one thing at a time to identify what the issue is. Things like:

Test something else on the display to see if it's picking up HDMI audio from another input source
Test a different cable to see if that isn't sending the signals
Test a different display to see if that outputs audio
Test another account on the console to see if that's having the same issue

Let us know if that helps identify where the issue is, so we can focus our troubleshooting from there.

Xbox One was working fine, now all of a sudden there is no audio on any game or DVD/blue ray disc. I have unplugged, switched HDMI cords and ports, tried a different TV, and done a hard reset of the Xbox to no avail. Anyone?

Kindly answer to the following questions:

1. Are you using Digital Optical Audio or Normal Stereo output.

2. Audio is not working in games alone or whole xbox audio.

3. If you're using digital audio output kindly change the output options like Dolby Surround, Dolby bitstream or Stereo Compressed.

Hello, did you check that optical audio output hasn't been turned off on the Xbox at all.

You will find that in settings/ all settings/ display & sound/ Audio output.

No audio output all of a sudden
