    I'm experiencing an issue where I have no audio when using Xbox Cloud Gaming on the PC app. I'm running Windows 11 with the latest updates, and my Xbox app is also fully updated. Audio works perfectly fine everywhere else on my device, and all audio settings are properly configured. However, the Xbox Cloud Gaming app itself seems to have a problem.

    When I stream a game via the app, it launches muted in the quick tools menu. Even after unmuting, the audio remains completely silent. Interestingly, streaming games through the Xbox Cloud Gaming website works flawlessly and delivers audio as expected.

    You might ask, "Why not just play on the browser?" While that does work, I’ve found that it introduces excess lag and reduces the overall quality, which is why I would prefer using the app. (if it worked.)

    Here are the steps I've already tried:

    • Followed the troubleshooting steps outlined in these posts:
    • Ran an SFC scan
    • Verified my region settings
    • Tried contacting Xbox's 24-hour chat support but didn’t get a solution, tried all of they're "Fixes"
    • Ensured that the Xbox app is not muted in the system sound settings.
    • Opened Volume Mixer, and made sure the Xbox app slider is raised.
    • Checked my audio output settings in the Xbox app under 'Settings' > 'Audio' and ensure the correct output device is selected.
    • Tried restarting my PC countless times.
    Device Info:

    • OS: Windows 11 (latest update as of 1/24/2025)
    • Xbox App: Fully updated
    • Audio: Works fine outside the Xbox app
    • Issue: No audio when streaming via Xbox Cloud Gaming on the PC app

    Hi Samy, after more testing I figured out the cloud interface was auto-setting to Muted. I kept re-launching the game and unmuting it, and eventually the sound stayed on.
