No Audio in Game DVR Clips

Ever since I can remember there has never been audio in my DVR clips from either Xbox One Stream or game on my PC. Far Cry 4 on PC doesn't record audio as I found out a while ago but seeing as that can be recorded by other means it doesn't bother me. However,
Windows store game can't be recorded by anything but Xbox Game DVR so here in lies the problem. I want to be able to capture gameplay from Gears of War Ultimate Edition on Windows 10 but I can't record any sound with the Game DVR App.

There is no audio in Grand Theft Auto IV Game DVR clips

Since GTA IV was made backwards compatible on Xbox One, I noticed that every time I watch a clip recorded with Game DVR, there is no audio. There are no sound problems with Game DVR clips of other games.

I did some more testing but then ran into this with the Xbox Beta App.

Just before that I worked out that it was my USB headset, it wasn't recognising as a default audio device.

I also struggle with this from the beginning of the XBox-App and Windows 10. I have a Soundblaster Z with 5.1 Audio. The Xbox-App only records Audio if Sound is set to "CD-Quaility" or lower. You also need to set your Sound-Hardware to 2-Channel Stereo.

Obviously I'm not doing this, because every other DVR-Software handles this just fine (e.g. NVIDIA ShadowPlay).

 

Hi Dale, If your able to reproduce this issue can you please help us out report this via Xbox App (Beta) by clicking the happy face and selecting "Report a problem" This will generate a report with logs that will be sent to the developers to investigate.
