No audio from party chat members

Ever since the anniversary update for windows 10, my xbox app (on my desktop pc) hasn't been outputting the audio to my speakers like every other sound on my PC does. I've been looking through the settings but there doesn't appear to be any way to change
how the sound is being output within the app itself.

What's interesting to note is that the party can hear me just fine, I simply don't get any audio on my end from their talking

Xbox Stereo Head-set and Adapter, can hear game audio fully and clearly, Chat audio is not working

Same issue here, turtle beach earforce z11. Game audio is fine for battlefield 4, and geometry wars, but no audio for pinball arcade or xbox dashboard sounds. No chat audio comes through the headset, but party and game chat members can both hear my mic.
Just wasted $30 on a new adapter and its definitely not that.

The OFFICAL Wireless Xbox Headseat is CHAT ONLY. There is no way to get game audio out of the headset.

After months of dealing with this issue, the answer was finally explained to me by someone else online via another chat service.

Windows10 changed what my default audio device was so i had to reset it to the output that everything else was set to, and that's why just my party chat audio wasn't reaching my headphones, because the output was going to a dead end

When you stream through Xbox there is a setting in the twitch app to include party chat. But the party members have to allow their audio to be used. If you have “Party Chat” muted on the broadcast screen (it's in between “Microphone” and “Game”), or won't have the option to include audio.

To by pass this you'll need to use a capture card from the console though. Without a capture card, only the audio from your party can be streamed (after your party chat members give consent to their voice being broadcast).

When you say audio messages, do you mean from party chat audio on your headset? Also what device is this happening on?

The audio will come from the source. If your PC is the source of the party chat, it will be the source of where the audio is. You would need to either open the party chat on your console or get a headset that allows multiple inputs.
