No audio for live TV if power setting is set to Instant-On

Hi everyone, not sure if i am the only one with this problem. All the audio works fine with the Xbox One. If I have the Instant-On feature set up, when I try to watch TV, there is no audio. The audio works for everything else. If I turn the Instant-On feature
off, turn off the Xbox One, then turn it back on, the audio works fine. Not sure what the issue is!

No Live TV audio after TV is turned off, then on

When I am watching Live TV, then I turn off my television, then turn it back on after a while, there is no audio for Live TV (yes, I have tried volume on the TV and set top box as well with no luck). The audio for other apps/games works. The only way to
get Live TV audio back is by performing a restart by pressing the power button for 10 seconds, I guess it's called a hard restart.

Equipement:

Xbox One w/Kinect

Visio E551VA HDTV

Scientific Atlanta Explorer 4240HDC set top box w/ Cox Cable

Connected via HDMI

No sound on live TV with Comcast RNG110 Reciever

I am also having issues with no sound on live TV with the Comcast RNG110 and a Vizio TV. I have also tried the troubleshooting steps listed in the forum to no resolve. Am I missing something? Cable audio settings set to >TV speakers Xbox Display and sound
settings set to>HDMI audio >Stereo uncompressed / Optical audio> Stereo uncompressed. I have rebooted xbox and cable box. I can hear xbox, just not the tv. Help

I'm having this same issue. I have to turn off instant mode in order to get sound from my Tivo through Xbox :/

Thanks for the info folks, please provide the layout (what is connected to what) and the make/model of the STB (cable/sat box). I will push the info on.

Hey I had this same problem after the last update but I fixed it last night, and I also have a Samsung tv. To fix I went into settings then Power & startup then unchecked the instant on option then went to Tv & One guide then power settings and uncheck the
"Xbox on" turn on my device, go back one then to troubleshooting then Reset tv settings. Cut power off to system then back on then run the tv setup again then go back and cut instant-on On. See if that works, might sound like alot to do but it actually worked
for me. Hope it helps

Are you using a AVR or is the XB1X connected straight into the TV?

Do you turn on the TV, AVR if using before turning the console on?

Are you using Instant on or power saving mode in Power Settings?

Happy to help troubleshoot if you are still running into issues with this.

If you route the console directly to the TV and then go from the TV to the sound bar do you see a difference?

Is your console set to instant on or power save mode in the power settings?

Also, are does the sound bar have its own power settings of any kind?
