No audio control Blu Ray app

I have had this issue for a while. Most times, when using the blu ray app, I have no control over the sound on my tv. I've discussed with Microsoft. I've changed every possible setting. I've deleted and reinstalled the app. Once the app is started and the
movie begins, neither my Comcast remote nor my actual TV remote will control the volume. Not even the mute button will work. I can see the mute symbol on the screen but sound continues to pour from the tv. We have to make sure the tv volume is set at an appropriate
level before starting a movie, and hope we dont need to change it. I would love to know if anyone else has experienced this and if a fix exists. FYI, I do not use a Kinect. My TV is a fairly new Samsung. I do not have my cable box connected through my xbox.
    Thanks for any insight.

    :)

Xbox one bluRay audio problems. Help needed.

I've been having issues with my audio when playing blu ray's on the xbox one. It doesn't matter what disc I use or what audio source. No audio will play through my headset directly from the controller, or hooked up to my 4k tv. This all started several months ago when it would freeze and the audio will go out of sync with the picture. Netflix, vudu, and games are not affected. My asus montiors also supports hdmi sound and they dont work when the blu ray movie plays.
I just spent an hour with Xbox support and nothing they suggest had any effect on the issue. My xbox, unfortunately, is out of warranty.

    Things i've tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling the blu ray app.
    switching the audio settings.
installing the app on both my internal and external.
using fiber optic sound cable through my mix amp.

    The behavior is the same.

Could this be an issue with the blu ray player, a combination between the App and the device, or the App just being the worst app ever created on this planet?

  3. Audio out of sync with Blu-ray app on One S

Just got a new One S with the intention of using it for all of my media including Blu-ray and UHD Blu-ray. Unfortunately the Blu-ray app does not properly synchronize the audio with the video. It's a good quarter second off, which makes my discs unwatchable.
This is limited to just the Blu-ray app, audio is fine everywhere else on the system. Uninstalling, reinstalling and restarting doesn't help. This happens with every possible combination of audio and video settings (including 24hz on and off). Is this a known
issue? Is anything being done to fix the app? Is this specific to the S because of the UHD Blu-ray support? Thanks.

Hey The Showman! An update was released recently for the Blu ray app, are you still seeing this issue? If so are you using an S console or an original? Let me know and I will look in to this for you!

Thanks for the reply Mister Cizl. I am using an original console and I did just delete and re-download the app. I'm sure it's the latest version. This doesn't seem to be an issue when watching DVDs but almost every time with blu ray discs. As I type this,
there is a movie playing. I pick up my remote to mute - nothing. Try to turn it up - nope. Whatever the volume is set at before starting the app is where it will stay. This is one of the most frustrating tech issues I have ever encountered. It makes no sense.
If anyone has any thoughts, I'm listening.

System-Wide Audio Lag on One S

Thanks for confirming, Radi0! We are aware of some issues with the Bluray app specifically, and I do understand that your issue is around all audio with the console. I'm going to ask for some information that seems oddly focused on the Bluray app, but I
believe it will help us nail down what settings might be affecting your experience. Let us know the answers to this, and we'll look at digging further into this with you. :)

    1. Blu-ray Player Version:

    a. Navigate to My Game and Apps => Blu-ray Tile => Simultaneously depress (Left Bumper + Right Bumper + View button):

    b. Confirm Blu-ray QFE is: Microsoft.BlurayPlayer_2.0.15.6_x64_8wekyb3d8bbwe

    2. DVD/Blu-ray/Ultra HD Blu-ray disc(s) titles

    a. If possible, can you tell us the time stamp in the movie when A/V lip sync is off?

    b. All Blu-ray titles or some?

    c. Is Netflix A/V sync off?

    3. Audio setup

    a. Audio/Video HW setup

    i. TV display (any settings related to audio that your TV might have)

    ii. Audio HW (in

    b. Xbox One Console Audio Settings: Optical vs. HDMI

    i. Uncompressed vs. Bitstream Out

    c. If Optical, did you calibrate A/V sync?
    1. Blu-ray app version is Microsoft.BlurayPlayer_2.0.16.6_x64_8wekyb3d8bbwe

    2. Every disc is affected, Blu-ray/UHD Blu-ray/DVD. Netflix is on par with the rest of he system, just a smidge late. Blu-ray is far, far worse.

3a. Audio setup is HDMI to the TV. No special settings. Straight shot. The sound bar is optical out from the TV. I tried connecting optical directly to the One S as well and it was identical to HDMI.

3b. Same results with HDMI and optical. Uncompressed. Choosing Bitstream causes an even longer full second delay so I leave it uncompressed.

What I don't understand is why the sound is coming late to the headphone jack on the controller as well. Both the One S controller and a regular One controller. It's like the entire system is sending out all audio late. The video seems perfect, as I've stated
my button presses are perfectly timed with what's happening on screen in games and the UI. Just the audio is late. This is bizarre to me.
