No audio coming through head set. Bought new headset and still no audio. Struggling with it been in all settings and watched no end of you tube videos but can't seem to get it to work. What am I doing wrong. Its not a wireless headset.

Press the Xbox button and go to audio and place the middle option in the center you should have sound and voice chat available.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

what model headset is it? not all headsets are compatible, are you using an adaptor? is the adaptor new? have you tried a 2nd adaptor if possible? have you tried a 2nd controller?

Try Setting up a headset adapter. This helps if the
3.5mm socket is faulty and also Update
your controller firmware are two support links for further steps to take.

yes, but that didn't work. I tried and the head set still had no audio coming through.
