  1. No audio at 4k 120 hz with Xbox Series X and Samsung 8k TV

I have a Samsung Q900r 8k tv and am using the high-speed hdmi cable supplied with the Xbox series x. Everything was working correctly before 8/24/2022. Now there is no sound when I select 4k 120 hz. I've tried the work around for LG TVs where you change Video fidelity & overscan > display from auto to hdmi but still can only get audio if I select 1080p 120 hz or 1440p 120 hz. Samsung support no help.

    Hello!

For 4K TVs, I think 120 hz with 2.0 hdmi is the maximum that the system will request. Now, for 8K TVs, 144hz with hdmi 2.1 it is necessary. So do not worry.

Is my Xbox Series X or my LG C3 48 inch faulty? Or software issue? The games?

    Same tv (65 c3).

I had the same flicking issue, got an 8k rated cable from AVR to TV and used included 8k cable from xbox to avr. And just like that, no more flickering.

Before and after installation of new cable do video test - in xbox TV setting make sure it detects tv as 4k UHD 120 hz. If not, you got an issue. Possibly as simple as it was for me, with a slow cable.

If you have an AVR like me, make sure you're using an 8k (or 4k) port AND avr is configured to send 4k/8k signal

My screen turn on black when i try to run a game on 120 FPS

What resolution are you trying to run at

If 4k 120 Hz then no it won't run at thaf

The max for series s is 1440p at 120hz

It will play at 4k bur only some games and with issues

The series s is meant for 1080p 120 max

    With suggested 90hz

The xbox series x and ps5 and switch pro are the only 4k consoles

One x does 4k at 30hz and ps4 pro upscales

the new xbox coming out this year will have 4k 120 hz right ? or will it be 4k 60 hz?

    You have several setups.

This because the console, like was said above will support up to 8K with 120hz - this means that the
maximum performance, is up to the developers to use all that power, some will some wont. You gonna see some games supporting
8k/60hz, others 8k/100hz or 8k/120hz, or the ones that cant or wont use all the power will use like
    4k/60hz or 4k/100hz or 4k/120hz.

I know like you said a 8k or 4k/120hz monitors or even TV's are a lot expensive for now, and if you cannot wait for the launch, for a xbox one X you should look for a 4k/60hz monitor, and if you can spend more try look for more hz. But yes for the series X
you will spend more money in a monitor or TV.
