No apps staying open

this may have something to do with Xbox live core services being down but none of the apps on my Xbox one will stay open for more than about 10 seconds before returning to home screen. This is silly,.I can't even watch local content.

I do think there is an issue with the RAM and apps staying open. I've had several game crashes (sending me to the dashboard), and all of them happened after I played with a couple of apps.

Rebooting seems, from my experience, to be the fix for now.

Are these stores staying open? Cos In another list the places close to me were being shut down yet here this list says they are staying open?

No apps will open and none of my games work...except cod. Who wants to play cod.? No one

Hate the fact that the minute xbox live or your Internet goes down absolutely nothing works, can't even watch a dvd ffs

 

its ridiculous that none of the games saved to my hard drive work, none of my apps work, my tv box won't play and dvds are the same. microsoft sell this as your "all in one system that puts everything in one place" yet they continually have service issues
that prevent you from using absolutely everything. why does their core service being down affect me being able to play a bought game saved to my hard drive? I no longer have any disks as i went through 4 360s in 6 years , all of them because the disk drive
failed, now i buy downloaded games , except you can't even play them. Screw you microsoft, i will be moving to station soon, your preview program sucks, it breaks stuff every time you release an update, theirs constant issues with games, apps, services etc.
I basically paid £400 for a voice activated paperweight. AWESOME!!!!

 

Go to your settings,switch the console to offline & then play your games.

 

Disc games seems to work, but anything else wont.

 

Daft Badger already said it, you switch your Xbox into offline mode.

Its amazing how many people actually don't know that and instead complain about it LOL

 

Excalibur - Please explain why I can't watch netflix. I'm guessing I would need to be in online mode...... Everytime I go to watch, seconds later I'm back in the home screen.

 

Netflix is a streaming service, but you're using the app through the Xbox, therefore if Xbox live is down or having problems... its going to affect apps and games that require a online connection.
