    not connected to xboxlive, still chatting with online friends in a party... No access to GTA online... How long does this normally take?

    When I try to go to GTA online. It tells me my profile does not have permission to access GTA online. I'm current with my gold membership.

    When I try to join GTA online it tells me my profile does not have permission to access GTA online.

    No access to gta online

    Do you have an active gold subscription?

    It could also mean you might have been banned from GTA online,if that's the case you would need to contact Rockstar.

    There is currently a service alert. While only certain games are affected badly, others may also be affected while a fix is attempted.

    We thank you for bringing this inquiry to our forums community, and understand that you're experiencing an inability to access GTA Online from within GTA V on your Xbox One console.

    There is currently an active service alert involving Social and Gaming which may be the reason for this error besides not having an active
    Xbox Live membership which is needed in order to access online features.

    We recommend attempting a power cycle on your Xbox One console as a general troubleshooting step to attempt resolving the
    issue.

    Do you have a gold subscription? Gold is required to play online.

    Gold has always been needed to play that game online. If you had Game Pass Ultimate, that includes Gold so that could be one reason you could play. Or if someone else had your console as their Home and they had Gold/Game Pass Ultimate, you would have been able to get online through that.
