No access to Case Review on long enforcement suspension

Two questions:

1. Why am I offered no option to start a case review of my son's enforcement suspension when I'm signed in to his account and on the enforcement page? on all browsers/OS I've tried the page does not have a drop-down menu or button to request a case review
despit your 'how do I...? Pages saying it should

2. why has a one month suspension been placed on my son's account without offering me any reason? As his parent I should be informed if his behaviour has been this appalling. Other people have received short bans for racist and homophobic femarks so I really
need to know what he's being accused of.

your live help service was useless and you are keen to avoid being contacted by members, but this double bind of not allowing me to access case review and imposing a harsh, explained suspension, is unacceptable. Please respond now. Thank you.

I want to post an honest case review on the Xbox Enforcement website to label my cause for my suspension

 

2 Week Suspension

So how long will this review of the case take? I got suspended last night and immediately filed for a case review.

 

If your son is on a child account, you would have to sign into your account in order to submit a case review.

The enforcement team are the only ones who have any information about your son's suspension, so no one here would know why. You should have also received an email about the suspension, but if not, the information should be on the enforcement site.

 

Thanks, I've tried on both accounts but no case review option was available. If that's the only way of getting answers and I'm not being offered it, it does seem unfair. My son's friend sent another friend a message consisting of the letter eff and the letter
yes. That friend pressed Report for a laugh. They are both very apologetic. Now, that can't be worth a month's ban, so if there has been other nasty activity I need to know about it!

So, with no way of contacting X on and their live help person just sending me to the forums because she couldn't get the case review function either, I don't know what to do. It's getting a bit Kafkaesque...

 

Suspensions usually vary from 24 hours to 2 weeks, after that it would be a permanent ban. So you may want to double check the date (it may be day/month/year instead of month/day/year). If the suspension was given yesterday then it may only be a 24 hour
ban and will lift today. You can't submit a case review on 24 hour suspensions so that could be another reason why you can't submit a case review.

 

Smwutches, you've got it. My son suddenly asked what format the date was in and we realised it was in US format whereas we're in the UK. So yesterday - 6.6.16 - his ban was until 7.6.16 which to us is a month but to an American is a day. Doh! I was seriously
thinking someone must have hacked his account because racist and homophobic comments were only punished with a 2 week ban and he's really quite a nice 13 yr old!

Thanks for your help. The friend who sent the sweary message apologised to me this morning looking v embarrassed so I think they've had a timely warning about playing nicely...
