No ability to allow 3d even though I have a 3d tv...

Ok I'm stumped, my console has the newest update, but it won't let me check the allow 3d box. I have a 3d tv and I can watch 3d content through my cable provider. The fact is though that the tv needs to be switched to 3d mode to allow for it to work. No
big deal as normally I just do this before watching 3d content, so why is my xbox refusing to allow me to check this box so I can watch my 3d blurays in 3d?

Cable/Satellite TV boxes, 3D Blu-Ray players and much more devices. [4]..3D entertainment app content such as Netflix, Youtube, etc.

Trioviz actually does allow you to view 3D with special glasses on a 2D TV. I only played Gears 3 on my TV in 3D briefly but my TV auto detects the 3D format, which I think is side by side for this game.

Same here, but I have a 3D enabled HDMI splitter. BS if the 3D cannot just be forced on reguardless of whats plugged into the HDMI port.

Also with the DirecTV, it refuses to display the 3D chanel programming because it believes the Xbox cannot display it.

With all these incompatibilities in mind I hope the new DLNA enabled app will support a forced 3D mode to prevent these same problems.

 

OK got mine to work.. Under TV connection switch to HDMI instead of auto. After I switched it I was able to check the allow 3d box. I had to also manually change the TV resolution to 1080p.

 

Fruitbowlmafia the sad part is for Uverse I CAN watch 3d channels sent through my xbox one... which means my xbox should be able to send the same signal it sends to my tv via the uverse pass through and tada everything is fine... instead it wont let me choose
allow 3d OR when I follow Mystic Lord's steps (btw thanks for the attempt to help at least you figured out how to bypass the stupid setup) the signal to my TV crashes entirely and starts blinking like something has gone haywire with my graphics output card....

I'm considering returning this thing to my buddy at Gamestop to see if my unit is faulty....

That said I don't know why in the world the xbox programmers cant simply allow a forced pass through that I can then switch my 3d tv too once I know if it is SBS, TB, or Sensio 3d....

MS programmers can you please make this happen? Either people could see the 3d blu ray or they wont its not like its going to melt anyones tv...

Anyone else with a vizio 240hz refresh tv know how to get this to work?

 

I cant play 3d discs but I don't even have anything saying 3d!

 

StalkingDAVE, did you get the newest update 1408? That has the new 3D support in it. Also once you have the update, you will have to update the bluray app as well. Just put a regular dvd, bluray or 3d bluray in to have the app update if the xbox doesn't
do it on its own.

If you are having the issue where your 3D blu-rays are loading but tell you that they cannot find a 3D device, I have fixed the problem. After talking to support with no definitive answer I preformed a complete system reset. I am in the development program
and had previously installed the new USB video playback app (I will not install again till the official release). Once the system reboots and you set your system up from scratch, I installed the Blu-Ray app. In the settings menu the 3D Allow box was already
checked and I changed no settings. I inserted a 3D disk and I heard sound but no picture. I then preformed a hard off by holding down the power button on the XBOX till it shuts down, turn back on. Load disk again and it went straight to the movie and turned
on the 3D on the TV. Now on to disk game installs. I spent a hour reinstalling my games and went to bed. We I got up I tried playing a game disk no game disk would play. I did some research. I tried playing a Digital Game then loading a game disk but it still
would not play. I then left my game disk in the drive and preformed another hard off by holding down the power button on the XBOX. Turned the system back on and now all game disks work fine. On a side note, the Lego Marvels game glitch where the game crashes
when you try to get vehicles is now fixed. Happy Kids. I hope this helps you all.

 

wetwrk007 Unfortunately my xbox refuses to send ANY 3d signal no matter if allow 3d is checked or not, My receiver shows no info is being sent via the hdmi once the xbox "attempts" POORLY to send what even my old PS3 and XBOX 360 HAD NO PROBLEM SENDING.
Seriously MS get your act together and get a patch sent out ASAP.

 

I'm sorry if I sound angry, but I really was looking forward to finally getting to watch my 3d blurays again and my xbox simply won't even send a 3d signal to my receiver....

 

I can't 3d to work either. I changed from auto to HDMI, had to manually set resolution to 1080p, which finally allowed me to check the "enable 3d" box, however my TV says invalid signal and when I go back to settings the 3d enable box is unchecked again.
TV works fine in 3d with all other sources (ps3, Samsun bluray player, Netflix). TV is 65" 3d dlp

 

Im on a Viewsonic Pjd6251 DLP 3d ready projector and Im having issues as well some of my 3d blu rays play first time no problems other times the projector trys to display them in a wierd resolution and i just get a jumbled mess of colors. If i get 1 3d dvd
working the others usually do but its always a pain..
