    No 5.1 sound when usb headsets is connected.


    I have a 5.1 sound receiver connected with an optical cable from my xbox and works perfect but when I connect my usb wireless headphones to xbox the back and center speakers stop working. Is there any way of keeping the usb connected and still have surround
    sound. Dont want to disconnect the usb every time I want to watch a movie.

    yes x box headsets are a tad poo , get a 5.1 surround sound headset and mike........it'll blow you away!!

    5.1 surround isn't meant for headsets. It's meant for full surround sound speaker setup.

    Turtle Beach Headsets do just that and there are many models to choose from. But to have a 5.1 or 7.1 virtual surround sound headset you'll have to spend big $$. If having a stereo one instead doesn't bother you then i recommend getting the Turtle Beach
    X12. Sound is amazing (for stereo), works for both Xbox and PC, and you can control the sound of both the mic and game sound individually. Ok, its a wired model (powered by USB port) but for the price (60$) its totally worth it.

    I have the DX11 for 5.1 in-ear surround sound. I really don't mind the wires, especialy since I do not have to worry about batteries or charging the headset. Amazing sound out of this headset.
