No 3D Support

I am in love with the XBOX One and the way it does almost everything.

I say almost because, like many others, I was disheartened to learn that it does not support 3D Blu-rays. My 3D Blu-Ray player is the center of my media center setup .. I was hoping the XBOX One would fill that slot, but sadly, it does not.

BUT, perhaps more important than that is this fact ... when I connect my DirecTv box to my XBOX One, due to its lack of 3D passthrough ability, my XBOX One actually blocks my access to DirecTv's 3D content (Ciname3D and 3D Pay Per View movies). I do not
like that feature-blocking at all.

Come on, Microsoft, you are an industry leader. Fixing little things like this will help you sell more units and push this product out to the forefront where it needs to be. It IS an awesome step forward from the 360 but these little things are making it
try to run a race with its shoelaces tied together. Consumers want to love it, but they just cannot put money on it.

No 3D Bluray support?!!

Just as unhappy as everyone else is. I was expecting 3d support seeing as this is the first drive of this format in the xbox. So much for it being the total media center experience then! Also why no bbc iplayer or uk tv one guide. Why does it only only support
US tv channels?

Because no one cares about the UK. And before you start in on the whole "it's supposed to" crap and do some reading you will get 3D blue ray support via a software update in the near future. MS will add more apps as the dev's release them.

 

I just made this discovery tonight, myself. Now, granted, I don't watch 3D all THAT often, but it really is a major disappointment to not even have the OPTION to do so simply because my Xbox One is now in the circuit.
